  • This weekend I will eat… Pizza! And chocolate! : P
And I will most probably drink copious amounts of vino! ; )

I’ve actually never tried a dessert wine! I really need to do that soon.

    Nice show!

    Refreshingly Interesting!

I figured it is no fun to just be a lurker so i’m out of the shadows after a year of watching

  • Hey gary,

I have tried yellow tail’s for sometime now.
What do you think of the Merlot from yellow tail?

On a side note, dinosaurs didn’t roam around eating cave men (just missed by a few million years though) 🙂

    Your daily shows are addictive.

    This weekends menu:

Penne with * Mushroom and Black bean *

First sautee lots of Vidalia Onion (julienned) in EVOO and add sliced white mushrooms to it, give it a stirr, then add one can of good qualitly black bean, mix it just for couple of minutes with the mushrooms .
Add 1/4 cup of heavy cream to the sauce and immediately pour it over the Al Dente cooked penne pasta .Use lots of freshly grind black pepper.. Sprinkle with finely chopped flat leaf parsley and enjoy….

    Goes very well with Chardonnay….

Hope to see you on Tuesday 14th, at the Wine Tasting…

The menu for this weekend is pretty undecided so far, but for Monday (Canadian Thanksgiving/My birthday) we will most definitely be having a turkey dinner.

  • great show! gotta make a comment about yellowtail. because they’re so inexpensive, i’ve found that most people try the entire vino experience from that producer, and decide what wines they like and dislike. not a good thing. people should learn to experiment outside of they’re favorite variety AND producer.

This weekend’s meal: probably lots of different types of pasta. not the healthiest choice. but certainly the most inexpensive choice for the on-the-go guy.

    Hi Gary,

Andy, Robert Jr. and I are all going (Karen is away this weekend) to a nice dinner at San Jose’s best (in my opinion) restaurant, Cerutti. They have the best appetizer ever, Tallegio Egg (a fried egg with wonderful taleggio cheeeeeeeeeeeseeeee), and then Killer Lobster Rissotto… with a bit of truffle. And I’m thinking exotic Italian for it… Gravner? yes. Gravner.

go BC, go Matty Ryan, go Dolphins!!! boo Jets. boo Pats. boo Bills.
If you read this comment, please drop me a note!!

QOTD: Not sure yet. I usually plan meals around what I can buy at the Greenmarket on Saturday mornings, where I will be going before I head out to WL.

Yellow tail and Woodbridge. Where’s the Boone’s Farm?

Football – what a sad, heartless, vicious, cutthroat game.

QOTD: We’re going to Vernon’s Steakhouse Saturday to celebrate our friend’s birthday which we missed when we were in San Francisco eating at Serpentine -I think the name had something to do with a serpent. Other than that we’re still finishing off the caponata and chicken I made on Thursday.

I found this episode more meaningful then the 40+ episodes I have seen before. I always looked at this as a “bargain” place instead of a “value” reference. I feel like I missed the point on a lot of episodes because of this.
