Wanted to buy the Touriga Douro but it is all gone. I have had the Nacional and I really liked it. Bought two bottles at WL. What happened with Ustream. Went on for the first time today to see a live show and it was blurred out. What gives?

Hey Gary thought this episode was great. Just wondering if you have ever tried any wines from the Azores, seeing as they are a part of Portugal.

QOTD: Just in Port and some blends, I don’t think I’ve had 100%. Went to the Illinois rout of Indiana with my dad, and we had some wine the night before. Have a nice weekend guys!

Good show! QOTD: Never had a dry Touriga before. I hopefully will be picking up a bottle of tawny port (maybe a Dow Colheita) at my local wine-shop tomorrow, so I’ll look for a Touriga Nacional while I’m there.

I liked it ok, but honestly I’ve had mixed results with affordable Portuguese wines (I had a Cerejeiras that was just horrid), and I haven’t cracked any of my Bagas yet as I’m not entirely sure how to help it do its best.

As for what to open and toast President Obama with: is it too early for a 2000 Haut Bages Liberal, or would it be more appropriate to grab something from Washington?

Nice show, I always mean to try some portuguese, but never do.

QOTD: I have tried a few blends, but no single varietal from Portugual.

Just love Touriga Nacional; It’s my favorite Portuguese grape. Love the chocolate in the So. The “So” happens to be one of our Uncle’s House Wines! Excellant! Go Tio!

Had some other good Portuguese wines(about 5, don’t remember the names as they were too long) at our little cousins first birthday last week. Nice!

It’s just outrageous! When i first saw the Wine Library TV i could not belive it :). I’m a wine-loving-noob inspired by Oz and James Big Wine Adventure series to try some new things and get the science right. I’m only starting to build my pallete (is that how you spell it? :)) and after watching a few episodes i think you set me up on the right track. I mean – i thought this all notes thing was a hoax. I didn’t taste anything… until just recently, when I got a glass of wine, tasted it (smelling doesn’t work as well as i’d like it to… yet), and thought – hell, i can taste cherries here! whoa!. So Gary – big thanks to you for doing what you’re doing i think it’s amazing :).

P.S. as for the question of the day – i tried to find some wines from portugal with Touriga Nacional?s but i couldn’t (and that’s weird, if it is supposed to be their own nacional grape). Will try though :).
