  • Never had the upper level stuff, but the regular Faiveley Bourgogne is available locally at a very reasonable price and I wouldn’t kick it out of bed at all.

    QOD: oui.

Yes, I’m happy, but I could be happier if I got to fill my cellar with some of those Burgundies!

  • Great episode – really up my alley. I’m a benefactor and appreciator of your efforts to educate about Burgundy – keep it up.

QOTD: Much of the time, yes, very, thank you for asking.

Lovely show. I always like to hear more about Burgandy. Thanks Messieur Faively

QOTD: My life seems sort of discombobulated right now, culminating in my cat Sailor coming home this AM with a wound in his tail which leaked blood from one end of the house to another for about 6 hours. Fortunately our vet was available to come by and tend to the wounds, and the carpet cleaner was available for Wednesday.

  • QOTD: No, but working on it.
The guest missed something you were trying to bring up about the subdivisions of Burgundy vineyards post-1820. Think you were getting to the point about larger vineyards (eg. Clos de Vougeot) that get split up – different sections develop different reps which are reflected in different bottlings/labelings. The guest skipped this but Gary is correct.

What a great show today!!! Absolutely great to see another guest on the show. It brings to mind that you often will taste young wines that are available on release…but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get a producer to bring a vertical on with them sometime to show how aging their wine can change everything.

QOTD: I am very happy…tired, but happy. I think that it is a choice that we all have to make. Some choose to be happy, while others allow it to stay just out of reach “If only I _____, then I’d be happy.”

    Thanks for a fun show!
