Sorry for the french with a S but I used to write franish.

    >I love it when you have guests; especially when they are from Burgundy!! A tough area to really get your arms around, so episodes like these are informative! Love red fruit!!! I have found watermelon notes in a few wines as well and I love it!
I will certainly try some of their wines after your feedback and the high ratings of the Domaine by Clive Coates.

By the way, leave the pronouncing of the names to the French! 😉

    Cheers!

  • Good job to turn people more to Burg Gary. Hope you’ll start doing the same for the German Spätburgunders within a few months.
Btw: pain d’épices tastes like gingerbread. It hasn’t the same texture however. Over here it’s no cookie, but more like a kind of cross between bread and cake. Should try it definitely.
    Happy, sure I am … !

Very interesting Burgundy show, Gary. These vintner guest spots make for fascinating shows. Although they tend to get a little longer, it’s much better than 30 minutes spent in front of the TV. Great job keeping WLTV fresh and current.

it is realy bad when we see price of burgundy today, even if 2005 was realy good
but 2006-2007 is not very good you can find some good one but it is not like the 2005, and we see the prices are too much expensive for the quality,
but more and more people are buying wine not to drink it, but to celar and sell it…people like money not wine….

this will make the price Higher and higher, it is beter to let professionels people sell wine and amateurs drink wine not sell it also, image for example between france and usa we have 50.000 amateurs of wine and they buy 20 BOTTLES/YEAR to sell it in parallel market this is 1 million bottles year, in almost the same labels, and that will make price wine to much higher for other people who like and love wine and DRINK IT not sell it…..

and now you have china russia….they now nothink about wine and it is only the price that they pay for a bottle, that make them fell exeptional and rare peoples but they know nothink about what is a good wine….

PLEASE drink your wine don’t make it a business, and the price is not a reference of good taste…it is bad for wine world.

im french sorry for my english

VERY nice episode…wish I could be there watching live! It is fascinating to hear winemakers or owners talk so passionately about their wines as if they were they’re little bambinos! That is what makes me want to buy their wine not to mention how fabulous they taste! Would love to see more of these guests! Thanks GV for bringing the thunder once more!

QOTD: I don’t think I could be any happier!! oui chanceux

Great show. Loved seeing you get so excited keeping the show moving while your guest was working out what to say. He was a wonderful, informative person to listen too. I really enjoy the way you have turned so many of us on to the fun of tasting wine without the snobbery usually associated with wine ala California. Keep it real!

Great show. Though not as good as visiting Burgundy, for 30 minutes you can get lost in the show and feel as if you’ve experienced a little bit of what France has to offer.

QOTD: Yes. Happy my cold is nearly gone and I can start tasting wine again.

Where else but WineLibrary TV can you see a great sit down with a Burgundian wine maker. Way to go, Gary. You make my day.

QOTD: Yes, I’m happy. Not because the Raiders beat the Jets, but because people like Erwan Faiveley and Gary keep wine special.

    QOTD: Yes, I am happy.

I was feeling down for a second when I thought about how I may never try a velvety smooth $73 Burgundy. Only for a second though. I’m happy with my $10-$20/bottle cellar. And I’m happy just becuz’.
