Wonderful, wonderful episode! Love Jancis and enjoyed very much her Wine Course on DVD (which I own). Really very good, informative conversation here. I watched while sipping a very nice, inexpensive Louis Michel & Fils 2005 Chablis. I’ve never had a Sherry, but now am compelled to try a few.

JR has been part of my wine learning since the beginning. Gary, you should know that your book is right near my computer, sitting on top of The Oxford Companion to Wine! Any time WLTV brings up some new region or grape, I pause the show, and do some research (often getting lost reading through the companion).

Wow. That was probably the most enjoyable time I’ve had with the show in a long, long time. I don’t often get the chance to watch many episodes, and started this one just after midnight, figuring that I’d watch a few minutes and if it looked good I’d catch the rest tomorrow. 43 minutes later I’m sitting here with a big smile and making my first comment in probably 18 months. What good fun! And shout outs to both SS Chris and Kahuna! Absolutely a winner all the way.

Excellent show. It was great to be able to hear Jancis vocalize her thoughts. The bonny bee in my bonnet will be thinking about all the great info I’ve picked up through today’s show.

Grate show! Jancis, it was a wonderful idea to be on Gary’s show. It was really fun to see you. I think in your earlier wine year your were a bit like Gary; Changing the wine world, whether they liked it or not!

Gary, you are going to be hard pressed to beat this show.

P.S. I have been trying to get our wine club to do a Sherry tasting and no one seems interested. I was at one in the mid 90’s which changed me opinion of what sherry was all about.

oh no jancis, you’ve totally ruined your reputation now, pretty soon you’ll be eating cigars and talking about strawberry shortcake. right, so i think this show has brought a lot of knowledge to the vaynernation, for me, the atlas of wine (great puchase) has really opened my mind to the world, along with a class at the jc. Now, I’m all about southern france and spain and hope to go wine tasting there. Right on Gary V, bring it. Thanks Jancis.

great show, and Gary, maybe I’m wrong but you really show her so much respect and seemed you could could go on all day listening to her stores and swapping a few of your own. It was great to see that kind of respect for someone, who so deserves it.

QOTD: It was a great idea! Why? We were thrilled to hear your perspective on the specific wines and on wines in general. It was also most interesting to watch your and Gary’s reactions to each other’s opinions and observations. By the way, Jancis, I met you at the International Pinot Noir Celebration in McMinnville, Oregon, several years ago, and was fortunate enough to have sat next to you at one of the seminars. I very much enjoyed your enlightening comments.

Gary, it was so good of you to clean up the place before Jancis arrived. I didn’t see Hacksaw Jim Duggan anywhere.

QOTD: Of course it was a good idea its always awsome to see people with different points of views and knowledge when they come on the show.
Also ive never seen GV so willing to lission to a geust, but GV needs to work on his sharing of the spit bucket its always funny to see that
