My question is, do you have any standard “go to” wines you depend on for dinners and guests or are you always mixing it up?

Nice show of various stuff. Enjoyed the Beaujolais rant, as always 😉 (every time you’ve done Cru Beau you’ve done this…I always chuckle a bit)

Two definete underated vinos. Big fan of the gewurtz as they make some
terrific ones up this way in the Finger Lakes. Also big fan of the Beauj.
Have had some wonderful crus and you are right on about them.

Sometimes I feel like a weirdo I’m such an Alsace and Beaujolais fan. Such great wines, such great values in the French wine world. I’ll buy a case of the beaujolais you tried if I can get my hands on it….

QOTD- You mentioned your anniversary is coming up (Congrats!). If we hung out, I’d ask you: How did you meet your wife?

Gary Veeeeeeeeeeeee…. you rocked it on this show! I love the shows when you are so stoked and full of piss and vinegar, like someone shoved a few Madagascar hissing cockroaches in your shorts! Great advice on the gamay. I have only had the beaujoulais (is that how you spell that? probably not…) nouveaus, and those were like kool-aid with a slight kick. I will have to find a REAL gamay and check it out. Thanks for opening our eyes!

You got me into Morgon several hundred episodes ago and I call these “poor mans Burgundies”.
I must admit that I am guilty of not leaving comments very often but these wines will bring me out every time.
I was drinking a Babcock pinot when I sat down to watch, but I put the cork back in it, and went down and pulled out a Brouilly I happened to buy last weekend. No comparison. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
QOTD: How long do you think it will take you to turn Beaujolais in to a $75.00 wine.

So now you’ve got May blossoms down pat, tell me this, over a glass of wine:
How can you consider yourself a serious wine reviewer when garrigue isn’t in your palate palette?
I know at least one reviewer who finds it in just about every other red wine he tastes 😉
