    I’ve been a recent fan of your show all the way from Singapore. Great stuff and definitely has added much value to my palate expansion quest.

    QOTD:
    – A Muscat show, showcasing the different varieties of the muscat grape like Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, Muscat of Alexandria and Orange Muscat etc…

    – A China Wine show. Because I recently picked up a bottle of Cab in the supermarket from a vineyard in China. Didn’t taste that great though.

    Great Show!!!

    I’ve been desperately waiting on more shows on Tannat and the Madiran. It’s unfortunate that Madiran wines (especially 100% tannat) are tough to come across in the United States.

    QOTD: I’d really like to see a show comparing premium Napa cabs from the different districts (Stag’s Leap, Howell Mountain, Rutherford, etc) to see the different characteristics present.

    QOTD: AOC Jurançon. How about this from the same region than Madiran? Petit Manseng grape makes awesome dessert wines (& I’m not saying this because I’ve built my palate over these…). But for value-driven wine-lovers, it easily makes it up for a Sauternes or a Monbazillac.

    Thanks for this show GV: My parents used to serve Madiran for family occasions but I haven’t had a chance to drink one in 30 years. This is hard to find here in the US.

    Had to reach for the World Atlas (Jancis Robinson’s). Love it.
    I study wine all the time but forget these little places because I work w/ new world Cabs & Pinots mostly.

    Liked Eliot’s Big Sasha idea.
    Try The Peppermint Paddock for a sparkling Chambourcin (altho I was fascinated to see more than one person want a show on this grape)
    winewoman’s ideas esp cheese pairings, women in wine.
    Served my buddy some Blanton’s single barrel bourbon last nite (but stick to wine on WLTV please)

  • QOTD: I’d like to see a show on oxidized wines. I know you have an Arbois vin jaume (yellow wine) in a clavelin (650cl) at the store (saw it last week!). I’m intrigued by them, but they’re always really expensive, so I haven’t sprung for one yet.

    btw, you turned me on to tannat/madirans about a year ago, right when I started watching. It was a wine I immediately loved (I can be a tannin junkie at times) but I forgot about it after I tasted the 2 tannats carried by the local store. Thanks for reminding me to seek these out again!

    Also, you stopped doing “The Other 46 Episodes” I would love to see more of them!

My friend Chris at Tularosa Vineyards in New Mexico said he’d send a cellared wine if I wanted, but I didn’t know if you only wanted wine that’s available to the public for purchase. I could also send some sparkling, or sweet stuff, or well damn near anything. I just need to know what you are looking for. I’m a huge fan of New Mexico wine, and I think everybody should see what we have to offer.

    I did a search and didn’t see one Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. I had a Riserva (the oak aged version) a couple of months ago that I thought was a good value for under $20.

    I searched “Pomegranate” and came up with nothing. Have you ever tried pomegranate wine, particularly from Israel? I just had my first tasting of a dessert wine from Rimon of Israel. They also produce a “dry” wine and a “port style” pomegranate wine.

    You don’t carry any Pina wines. I know they are a smaller winery and they are expensive but they are great wines (and my uncle works for them).
