Hey Gary i know about a week ago you wanted us to throw some ideas out for shows. How about a meritage show! Wines that are actually termed meritages, see who does a better blend!

QOTD – I have to stand up for my Canadian roots and declare the ‘Coffee Crisp’ to be the best candy bar of all time. It’s like a fat coffee flavored Kit Kat. Oh my gawd. Not the best chocolate I’ve ever had, but definitely the best ‘dime store’ candy bar.

QOTD: Mounds.

I’m not much of a sweet tooth but ya gotta love the Almond Joy bars, never tried pairing it with wine though.
Can’t wait to try the Cantus Carmenere! There’s a pretty good one for about $10 called Castillero del Diablo that seems pretty available in So. CA, that’s the only one i’ve tried though…

This was probably one of my favorite shows that you’ve ever done. I can’t wait to try out some candy bar/wine pairings of my own!

QOTD: Karl’s is Snickers. Mine is probably Twix, but I also love Whatchamacallits when I can find them! And at Halloween, I enjoy Mallow Cups. You can’t find those usually.

First of all, I’m really jealous that you can eat all that candy and still stay thin! Yikes! Good show; but my favorite wines with chocolate are cabs. Try that some time.

QOTD: 3 Musketeers closely followed by Take 5. 3 Musketeers is nice and simple, which I enjoy. Nice job throwing it under the bus there, Gary. Least fav – Butterfinger. The peanut butter stuff always gets stuck in my teeth, very annoying.

QOTD: There use to be a candybar called Barnone that I loved but never can find them now. Good show!

Definately a tough call, my all time favorite was the short lived cookies and cream twix, but kit kats are pretty close.

So I’m thinking that you have never thought of doing this show until you woke up this morning and realized that you were extremely down about the JETS loss. You thought, I don’t want to do the Thunder Show today, I just want to sleep in. Then you thought about just eating chocolate and drinking your sorrows away which led to the pairing of two Comfort Foods, chocalate and alcohol. Brilliant I’ll do the Candy Bar/Wine show. =-)

QOTD: 100 Grand

Fascinating episode. QOTD: Reeses & nerds (but not together!). Being from Ohio, of course the Buckeye candy is very similar to the Reeses. I think the peanut butter aspect would make for an interesting wine pairing. Any suggestions? I also opened my first zork today! I liked it.

QOTD: My favorite candy bar, favorite above all would be a lindt chocolate bar, followed close by by a Kinder chocolate stick ( or chocolate egg )

Super cool show. We always have chocolates, candied milk balls, nougat rolls and fruit jams when we serve wine, it just sits well.

u can eat all that candy & still do a show? i’d like to see the inside of the bucket after this show. QOTD: twix.

Gary – I also thought the Broncos were faking injuries, although with the number of real injuries they’ve had this season, who knows…
I just wish they could play all their games on the road now though, they seem to do much better away from Mile High (which is weird)
