line of the day -there are loads of classic lines today but I had to choose one and here it is; (referring to a wine and Gingerbread house pairing) -‘kind of like a couple that have been married for a while, both laying in bed reading, not really doing anything’ (wink wink)

Wacky fun episode with loads of quotable lines. As a non-American the gingerbread house is such an American product…’hollywood food’

  • A little homemade peach cobbler tonight…Tiramisu (actually like the one from Whole Foods)…Mom’s Apple pie…A good key lime pie…And this raspberry, blackberry with a custard like cream with a little wine blended in it this little Italian place makes…Holy cow it’s damn good.

    I do great desserts like Randy Savage drops “Oh yeahs…” All day long.

  • Creme brulee is just fancy vanilla pudding, way overrated. I’d have to go with chocolate souffle, or just a couple squares of fancy euro chocolate.

    Great episode GV. QOTD: I don’t have dessert that often but when I do: I love cheesecake, especially the really rich homemade ones. Put some sort of fresh fruit on top and I can’t stop eating it. Fav. topping- strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and sometimes just caramel on top does the trick.

    I think I’m going to have to go out and find that Sauternes to have at Christmas.

    Favorite dessert? As a kid I would have said a Gold Rush Sundae from Swenson’s. Now, I’d have to say either a chocolate lava cake or creme brulee.

    QOTD: Best dessert has to be Knickerbocker Grill’s chocolate souffle here in NYC… or maybe just some Varsano’s chocolate on West 4th st… I used to LOVE Mississippi Mud Pie from a restaurant long closed down, The Right Bank, but I’ve never had Mud Pie as good since they closed their doors about 12 years ago.
