line of the day -there are loads of classic lines today but I had to choose one and here it is; (referring to a wine and Gingerbread house pairing) -‘kind of like a couple that have been married for a while, both laying in bed reading, not really doing anything’ (wink wink)

Wacky fun episode with loads of quotable lines. As a non-American the gingerbread house is such an American product…’hollywood food’

    Hello from the UK!

The Thunder Show rocks! Even if I can’t get hold of most of the wines here in Europe it’s inspirational to watch.

Suggestion: A Barolo blind tasting, and/or some value Nebbiolo-based wines (Gattinara etc.)

    Happy Holidays!

    Gary,
We like the Tomasello Rasberry wine much better than the blueberry (which I won’t even buy, ever). The Rasberry would have made a much better pairing with a gingerbread but it would have been best with a creme brulee.

I love creme brulee and tiramisu.

Go Tomasallo wines! Their Cranberry wine makes an awesome Cosmopolitan!
Challenging show – what goes with Gingerbread? man… milk? haha.

How about a breads and wine tasting? French, raisin cinnamon, Hawaiian sweet bread, and bread sticks from Domino’s. smile. haha.

How about a chef make 3 seafood appetizers – and you compare to whites.

How about a cigar and wine tasting (outdoors) show.

Gary, fun show, creme brulee can be great when it’s not like custard,Mcconnells vanilla bean ice cream out of Santa Barbara is easily the best I’ve had(our home-made with a White Mountain hand crank is a distant second)and my wife’s apple pie is not only a beautiful work of art but an orgy of butter, cinnamon and fresh green apples with a golden crust made from scratch. How about a show with a variety of potato chips such as Kettle Brand Spicy Tai and Backyard Barbaque or whatever. I very much enjoyed the Bordeaux segments, I could tell mister Rolland was a little threatend and intimidated.(as the great Ron Burgundy says “don’t try to act like your not impressed”)

By the way…some gingerbread houses are not meant to be eaten…nearly fell on the floor when you punched it though…LOL!!!

  • Wow, I always wanted to try a Tokai but now I really might try a Sauterne first. Great show but what you should really compare this with is a self-baked ginger bread house. They retain more of their original tasty flavour.

Am intrugied by the wine of the month, will be contacting your staff. Thanks as always.
