I hope we get episode 601 before 2009. We’re getting close to 600 comments. GV said he wouldn’t tape a show unless we reached 600 comments. Maybe they could show us a pre-taped show if we don’t reach 600 comments before Monday!

Just saw Gary on the Today show, very nice job. I think best TV appearance yet, I found some of the others (with licking rocks etc) a bit cartoony… just my opinion!

Also, everyone has to leave more comments because Gary said in an email that he’d do a show idea of mine soon… so get commenting 🙂

Didn’t get the secret pack and didn’t get to watch the Today show, but really enjoyed this episode, viewed on the 27th. Always good to see the Mott-ster in front of the camera.

I posted earlier that we got the Holiday Gift Pack instead of the Christmas Secret pack, but I wanted to let you know that we watched you drinking the Secret pack while we tasted the reds in our Holiday Gift pack.

Actually, two of the three reds, we’d bought before, but it was nice to try them again. (only two of us drinking, so we just tasted and we’ve been slowly drinking the three bottles over the last few days)

Domaine la Lorentaine 2003 Lirac – I bought a couple of bottles of this after you raved about it on one of the eps. Just as good as when we brought it home before. Black licorice. which I only like in wine…

Villa Carata 2004 Sannio Aglianico – I picked this up at Wine Library, because I haven’t found many Italian wines that have piqued my interest, so I was trying to expand our palates. Liked the logo on the bottle. Hadn’t opened the bottle we had, but we liked this–probably the least of the three–but we still liked it.

Domaine Humbert Freres 2005 Pinot Noir – nice light color, light flavor, but not watered down.

We were pleased with all of the wines. Well, we tried all the reds. The whites we’ll get to eventually.

But after watching the episode, we sure would have liked to try the Secret Pack.

Shame I can’t get the secret pack 6000 miles away – that last wine would have been wonderful to try.

this is my second comment. Great job on Today. I’m glad they gave you more time and even more glad that lady brought up the sniffy sniffing so you could tell America to smell their wine!

I only had the Rhone Rebel. My friends loved it, and it’s only $8, a great deal.

Saw the Today show, it was pretty sweet. Guess they finally let you finish a whole segment on TV.

Also, I just bought a few bottles of Caymus 2006. It was recommneded to me from a friend. I dropped $60 bones per bottle. I was wondering if I should sit on this wine for a year or more, or should I drink it now? I bought 2 bottles in case I decided to drink one now. But I was looking for your advice…

I watched this episode on my Treo last night before going nighty night! Another great episode. I hope to host a secret pack party with my brother, his wife, my boyfriend, and other local St. Louis wineauxs soon.

Had a great Christmas. Got to drink some Staglin Cabernet on Christmas Eve with my brother and family. Gary is right, sharing a bottle of red with family and friends is a great thing. (Especially if you didn’t pay for it.)
