Congratulations Gary! That’s wonderful news!! I’m afraid I’ve no advice for you but I wish you the best of luck with everything, and enjoy it! I know you will.

QOTD: As I mentioned in my earlier comment, we are brand new parents, but our piece of advice is that if its a boy; cover up his little “parts” with a towel while you are changing him- we have gotten shot in the face several times already! Congrats again!

Advice: Take it one day at a time. Enjoy year one and then enjoy year two. Years one and two goes by so fast. Take still pictures and videos like crazy. Give yourself a pat on the back every once in awhile. Oh, and don’t beat yourself up too bad when you make mistakes. Just learn from them. Nobody’s perfect. Make yourself more available at home and help out. Lizzy will need the break and will appreciate you more than you can ever imagine. Don’t put work ahead of home.

And keep TVs, computers, etc. out of the kids rooms.

Advice-Remember, even though your kids are very like you, they are not necessarily given the same gifts as you. Let them follow their passion. Even if it is something you are not excited by.

i am so happy for the two of you gary! it is the best experience of your life. my 3 year old is the one- litterly who gets me outt of bed each day. BTW- i don’t think that it is cool that people mail you about when will you have kids, that is quite personal IMHO.
BUT, you are right, your life will change dramatically. 100% sure and it will make you a better person ( a little more tired too : )

Take it all in baby! The checkups, the ultrasounds, the classes, and of course, you gotta be there for the delivery! There is absolutely nothing like it. Once you see that little person, the switch will be flipped inside of you and you will no longer live for yourself…
