line of the day – ‘i think I just puked a little’

You can count the episodes of WLTV that I don’t like on one hand and I’m afraid this one goes on the list. The two guests added nadda to the wine chat, threw GV off his stride, and most importantly weren’t anywhere near a funny as they thought they were. Shame as the first college humour episode was a winner.

These negative commenters are losers. I thought the show was a nice change of pace and I laughed out loud a couple of times. It was a fun show. I’d love to see you bringing people on who want to learn about wine and walking them through how exactly develop their love for wine for a multiple part series, in fact. I think it would be fun to watch people learn and would certainly help a lot of people

This show had it’s moments, but a little uninspiring.
QOTD – A 1988 Chateau Cheval Blanc for $250. I would pay you $2.50 for it because I would not be sure whether it was real.

  • I’m used to seeing these comments on a youtube video. Can we keep them there please. Learn how to communicate without throwing out childish insults.

Yes you have been noticed for all of the wrong reasons.

I do agree that it wasn’t one of the greatest episodes of WLTV ever produced, that is what you get when you are all out of your comfort zone.

If you are going to make a splash out there, be noticed for all the right reasons, not because you think you are being extremely funny in your comments, throwing out childish insults lets leave that for conversations down the pub with your mates, not on the internet for every one to see.

Ahh to hell with all the complainers on here – you can’t vet every guest that you bring on – as you’ve said, you’re not freaking Oprah. Besides, these two weren’t all that bad. Good job Gary.

Jake and Amir were great. Hilarious as always. For those of you insulting them it’s probably because you don’t have a sense of humor. GREAT JOB GUYS!!

Honestly, I can’t really talk much about the show since I’ve only seen a few episodes, but give the guy a break. This is video number six hundred and something, I think Gary deserves to do something a little different.
I thought it was good, although I’ll agree that it seemed a little weird for them in the situation. It probably would have been better if they would have just been themselves I guess. Whatever though, all good fun.

Don’t bash them? WHY??? If I didn’t enjoy the episode, why can’t I bash it? If you liked it – great! Enjoy! I thought it sucked.

QOTD: Since you asked, I bought a 1982 Chateau Leoville-Poyferre for $148. No, I would not buy it from ANYONE for twice the price. 🙂

Gary you’re the man for reaching out to the younger crowd! I’m in college and I’ve really enjoyed expanding my palate to wine. I consider myself an experienced beer ‘taster’ and collect beers from around the world..even got to try the infamous Trappist Westvleteren 12!

Funny and informative, like the guys not much into wine but methinks I shall peruse the site and learn.

    Wine tastes awful.

There’s no reason for anyone to say that it tastes good when an actually sweet-sour drink like orange juice completely blows it away. Wine just tastes like rotten, dry fruit. There may be some taste left behind, but comparing drinking wine to drinking something that tastes good is like comparing picking scraps of food out of a garbage can to eating from a full, gourmet buffet of all your favorite foods.

Wine does not quench thirst and doesn’t give any real satisfaction beyond the paradoxical feeling that you are awesome because you drink wine, and the initial tipsiness leading into drunkenness.

Jake is right. Some wines smell like dog. You guys are all just too pompous to admit it. In the back of your minds, though, you know I’m right and it makes you furious.

Gary was cool, by the way. I liked the show despite my comment below and my dislike for wine in general.

  • Gary brought the thunder as always

Amir is lame and not funny

Jake was really cool but looses ton of points because of his friend Amir

I think this was a MAJOR flop for the CKC’s

I do love this show however because it is totally random and I really enjoy those type of shows. Sometimes I get bored with the regular WLTV setting.

Although I’m sure the majority of avid wine library watchers could not stand this episode, I was absolutely 100% impressed. I love how you combine two things I thoroughly enjoy: Jake and Amir and inexpensive good tasting wine. I’m in college so obviously I don’t have much money at all to spend on any type of alcohol, but in the near future I will definitely buy a bottle of Riesling. Very helpful and may continue to watch your show because of this.

  • Do you really think that there is nothing in the world that you don't understand? Just because you don't like wine doen't mean “There's no reason for anyone to say that it tastes good…”. There have to be thousands of people out there who hate orange juice, but love wine. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, everyone has their own palette.

  • These guests suck to the point where I'm kind of surprised you even aired this show. They don't know shit, which is completely fine, but they aren't taking the show seriously in the slightest. This wasn't even fun watching you struggle through this one, those guys just bugged the hell out of me.

  • Magichanzz

they are def. annoying but we were all that young at one point and yes we were annoying. I couldn't appreciate a good wine at 20. Gary, showing your fatherly skills by remaining calm.

  • John__J

I liked this one a lot more than the last College Humor episode you did.
qotd: That would be Petrus, and I’m probably the only one who would pay double for it if you were selling another one. Even though it was the most expensive wine I ever bought it was still at a helluva price and it was so good I’d pay double what I got it for the 1st time to get it again.

Have had the St. Michelle and Norton before. I must be old, have no clue of these guys or the show other than seeing the other episode. QOTD-under $200 and no http://www.winelx.com
