Nice effort, the wines turned out about how I expected. I might actually visit a couple of local places this weekend on my way down to the rent’s.

Because the idiotic legislature here wants people to think that they’re actually worth buying and hid that in their anti-shipping laws. But, that’s another topic.

Thanks Gary, That was loads of fun to watch. Your expression when you poured the last wine was priceless! And loved the descriptors, “New bathroom smell”, “Garbage truck on fire”, “Chinese restaurant”. Thats good stuff!

Great show Gary!! Always great to see wines from nontraditional states. I think you should check out some wines from Connecticut. I have been up to some of the vineyards and there is some stuff that I think is pretty good. My favorite is Stonington Vineyards http://www.stoningtonvineyards.com/. I really like their Seaport White wine. Also I quite like Alba Vineyards from New Jersey.

Wow, a winery I know!(even if it came in last) But that’s (in my opinion) their worst red, although I’ve never seen it that color before! they’ve mostly gotten away from the red hybrids

(and I assure you, there is worse wine made in Louisiana than at PV, at least as of 2006)

Great episode. I can’t say I’ve ever bought a St. Croix; I’m sure I’ve tasted that varietal though. Tough break for the “other 46” on Wine Library TV, but I can’t say I’m too surprised.

You’re totally right though, the more people that start to enjoy local products and put some investment into their area, the better quality their wines will be. You can never give up on your home team.

I live in Texas! However, a native of Southern California. Nice show, showing off your skills! Its nice to change things up (blind test), this was fun to watch.
