Nice show especially to have on dedicated to a Vayniac. I’ve always liked the Bogle but it’s been some time since I’ve had one so I’ll add it to tomorrow’s shopping list.

QOTD: The exact opposite of your picks: Eagles/Steelers, i.e. PA SB with the Steelers winning it all. We won’t get into how this year’s playoffs have been a debacle. 3/4ths of them don’t belong.

I think that the SB slate of combatants is pretty open, but my intuition tells me Eagles and Ravens. So, GV, you are half right.

SuperBowl prediction: warm and sunny turning to dark as game commences necessitating the monster lights we all love to see.

I am kicking myself for passing on the Bogel Petite Sirah I saw in the World Market (20 miles away) not even 2 hours ago!! There was something in my brain that said no, I may have had a tasting in the past that I did not like.

QOTD: A team will win and a team will lose, and if we’re lucky, there may be some inappropriateness in the half time 😉

I’m thinking Ravens fo sho, but I’m torn in the NFC. I would like to see the cards do something right.

Bogle has been the best value in Petite Sirah for years, but I haven’t tried one lately. Glad to hear they are still maintaining the quality without raising the price.

David Bruce is better known for their Pinot Noir, but I haven’t tried one since Ken Foster left (he is now making Pinot at Mahoney Vineyards in Carneros, which I recommend trying).

I’ve enjoyed the regular Petite Sirah bottling from Greg Brown (T-Vine) over the years, though it is by no means a value play. His wines tend to be big, concentrated and well structured, produced in very small quantities. Too bad the dessert wine doesn’t measure up.

I predict a JETS vs. GIANTS Super Bowl, Oh wait we both choked it away. QOTD: Superbowl= who cares?! Like to see Eagles vs. Steelers and have both teams beat the cr#p out of each other, so next year the Giants have less to worry about! LOL! Tampa is going to have to import “security” from NYC & LA to contain an all PA Bowl!!
