    Pomerol: Thought I had had a Gazin (1972, spoiled, the worst smelling spoiled) wine I’ve encounted, but that was a Gazin from C de Bourg, the few I’ve had (low end) were ok. Have two ’81 waiting for later this year though. . . .

    Pomerol: Thought I had had a Gazin (1972, spoiled, the worst smelling spoiled) wine I’ve encounted, but that was a Gazin from C de Bourg, the few I’ve had (low end) were ok. Have two ’81 waiting for later this year though. . . .

  • Why have we never seen a picture of Gary’s wife? Who is this mystery woman?

    That aside, I loved the Mezcal episode, the guest was very intriguing, intelligent, and adventurous, he obviously wanted to get Gary to be a
    part of the process, and I felt Gary wussed out.

    Never understood the whole “We can’t drink Merlot any more” thing that crept out from Sideways. Hvaen’t had Pomerol that I can recall, but I really like St Emilion so I imagine I would like Pomerol.

    In an upset, I like the red head high school chick, Allison???

    I’ve had Gazin a few times over the decades, but not recently. WHile I like Pomerols, they are generally too expensive for me.

    QOTD: I’m over French wine. Too many rules. The wine world is so huge and there are so many innovative regions producing wine right now, and for good values, that I prefer to concentrate my efforts elsewhere. But I like learning, so good show!
