My experience with Pomerol is limited, but in my recent tastings, I’ve enjoyed a 2004, Jean Pierre Mouiex which stood out. Big wine, big bucks, but worthy of the prestige.

QOTD: I haven’t really had enough Pomerol to have any real opinion about, though, these days Bordeaux (rouge) is actually about one of the last places I’m interested in spending my tiny wine budget. That might change someday.

And I have never watched American Idol.

QOTD 1: Pomerol? It’s strange that despite a huge love of Cabernet I tend to avoid Boudreaux. Not really sure why. Maybe it’s because it?s long term wine sealed with unreliable corks. Maybe because I think it’s grossly over priced in Hong Kong. Maybe because I think it’s often over-rated (from a bloke who hasn’t drunk first growth. So sorry no favourite.

QOTD Uno – Only had a few but loved them. If I remember correctly they came with a higher price point which might have put me off from further pours.

One of the first wines I purchased from WL (old store) was a ’98 Pomerol, Certan de May I think. Good stuff. American Idol, no thanks.

QOTD 1: never had a Pomerol, the closest I have come is a Chateau Soutard St. Emillion its’ next door neighbor. It rocked the house.

QOTD 2: From the little I’ve seen it has to be Adam Lambert.

QOTD1: I drink bordeaux wine but I don’t think about it as much as other regions. I’m more Burgundian.

QOTD2: Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds, or Adam Theatrical Guy. I’m a Danny Gokey fan.

QOTD: Pomerol is a personal favorite – I’m a huge fan. I had no idea they didn’t have classifications! I wish I could drink more – I’m often off in the ditch drinking Fronsac, and other less-posh appellations for affordability. Plus, they make good wine too, let’s be honest.

QOTD1: Thoughts on Pomerol: I love right bank Bordeaux in general. Typically I think you get better value for money, and I ve always enjoyed Merlot. (also, you can drink the Merlot based wines earlier than the Cabs)

QOTD2: I haven t got a clue who will wim Americain Idol

#1 – Never had it, and honestly probably too many others to try higher on the list that I’ll ever get there…

#2 – Adam Lambert (sp?) only because of the 13-year old girls.

I am anxious to see how the 2005 Pomerol wines in my cellar evolve. As far as the American Idol, the winner will be Danny Gokey if America has any balls.

#1 – I haven’t had many Pomerol’s. I do like the 01/03/05 Segla and I have had some Lalande de Pomerols that have been really good values for the price point.

#2 – Gokey will take it all.
