Funny how roses have a bad rap in the states. I’m French, and I can’t even imagine starting a meal with a salad without a glass of rose.

QOTD: Here’s what I do. Get a bag of Mission brand Tortilla Chips. Mash up about 5 chips and stir them into a glass of ice cold britta filtered tap water. Don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it. Deeeeeeeeeeee-Lish!

@Bromidedrag it completely depends. Some people will have some lettuce after the main course. But in most cases, you would start your meal with a salad (we call this a “composed salad” meaning there is a bunch of stuff in there).

I like a german softdrink called Tönissteiner. No sugar or aspartame, no calories, a very honest flavor (orange and lemon kinds rock)

QoTD: Only had it a couple times, but the Honest Tea Yerba Mate is quite good. I would love to drink it from a gourde and pass it.

I can’t wait to try some Sauterne. Sounds quite interesting.

gary, please do a show on romanian wines (only 1 available for purchase from wine library) and wines from moldova. a romanian friend of mine has made me curious about this region.
