Yeah, small talk about wine in between is cool. No idea about the movie, ask my wife she falls asleep during movies all the time. Thanks Gary. I like the shorter format too, maybe do at least 3 wines though and keep the other stuff to a minimum. Good stuff keep it rollin’. LEGIT !

I prefer the small talk, asides, and other extras thrown in. It is usually interesting information that we would not get if we had to wait for it come up as a formal topic. That makes it legit.

I once had a Brunello…..years ago. It lived up to the hype.

QOTD1: Small talk is good, love hearing the wine talk.
QOTD2: I fell asleep for five minutes watching “The Class” in the theater last Friday, but I would recommend the movie, it was really good.

For us vegetarians, in the show about bacon pairing, please include a wine that goes with Francis Bacon (preferrably the one who paints).

There was that scene in the middle of My Dinner With Andre where they were just eating dinner that was pretty boring.

I always see “legalize it” whenever i see the word LEGIT. I dunno why.

Semi-QotD: Dude, it’s your show. Part of your appeal is the conversationality of your reviews and the fact that it seems like you’re talking with us, not at us.

Movie-QotD: The only movie I can come up with is Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The movie is my favorite of all time, a laugh riot from start to finish, and I’ve seen it easily over a hundred times… but the scene where they’re on the boat going to the Castle Aaaaaaaaaaagh has always sort of bothered me as out of place and boring.

QotD: Too legit… too legit to quit [hey hey].

2. Star Wars episode I (as was wonderfully parodied by the Simpsons – “Worst movie ever, I will only see it 3 more times…. today”) has the most boring middle of any movie ever, but pretty good begining and ending.

Gary: Legit is good and old-school, but how about the full force of “legitimate”?

As in: “This is good on the mid-palate, but the finish is LEGITIMATE.”

As in: “We were clowns in this game, but now we’re LEGITIMATE.”

Great show, but I can’t wait until the bacon pairing; I love bacon. I’ve been watching since episode 200-something, but this is my first time posting.

QOTD1: Flabby
QOTD2: MC Hammer. If you don’t you’re probably not old enough to be drinking wine anyway.

Definitely a fan of the flab (keep it predominantly wine-focused, though…)

Also, legit = Hammer. Period.

MC hammer does come to mind but I would have to say when I hear “legit” I think of something worthy of being trusted.

Bacon sounds good but I think it would kill the wine and besides when there is bacon on the table does anyone really see anything else? Bacon Rocks!

I can think of a movie that was all boring except for 15 minutes : That would have to be the very first Star Trek movie.

But a good movie with 15 minutes of boring? Mmm..oh here’s one that might fit. The first Superman movie. The boring part was when Superman flew Lois Lane around the clouds and she was all starry eyed and there was a hideous narration that she did. Ha ha This would make a fun party question.

Watch any Old Skool James Bond movie (Dr. No, Goldfinger, From Russia w/Love, etc.) and they will seem to move at a snails pace compared with Casino Royale, Quantum, etc. They will always be LEGIT, but they’re made differently.

LEGIT…yes the MC Hammer crap everyone else is saying. I think more of someone vouching for someone else as “yes he’s Legit”; when something is great and is valididated i use (and prefer) “SOLID” as in “wow this is a SOLID effort”
