For real good show. I like the guest but you can’t beat a quick info packed 15 min. thunder show.

Legit = Honest

When you keep the show tight, it’s like a car ride where the quickest way to get to the end is a straight line and no distractions.

I like the show when your topics switch from one track to the next. Put your thoughts on the SEEK button and we’ll see what comes through. We’ll enjoy it.

Nice to see you back and it’s also nice to see the comment count back over 100 for a while. Reading the comments seems to make a difference. Brunello was the first wine I ordered in a restaurant as an adult.

pre-QOTD: I’m down with the side conversations. I’m pretty curious to know what wines are rocking your world at the moment and what you’re stashing away. This isn’t network tv (thank God!) and memory is cheap baby! +1 for unfiltered Gary!

I think of legit as the “real deal”. Something that’s all business and not messing around.

Great show Gary. As I have said before – the short episodes are often the best – fun, informative, great wines this time – the works.

1) Definite yes for side comments. Especially on wines you had outside the show and great NY restaurant experiences you have had. Big foodie, brother.

2) Star Wars Episode 1 – great movie like all other stars movies – but this one had some sloooow minutes in it.

3) legit = kosher (not in the jewish ortodox meaning).

Most excellent show, again there GV!! I have no experience with Brunellos…yet. Dig the energy. Too bad these are a bit out of my price range due to my recession-induced cut-backs….Would like to see some less expensive alternatives. Maybe when P-BO gets the global currency worked out it will be cheaper…my ranting should not spill here…that’s not legit..or is it?

Secondly, are my cars legit to be on the road? I currently have two and its a pain in the ass to keep them both “legit” to drive legally on the road, licenses, tags, insurance, inspection stickers, taxes, etc. What a friggin hassle.

QOTD2: American Gangster definitely comes to mind. Great film, left the theatre very impressed, but there definitely were a few minutes in between where I thought it was “flabby on the mid pal”.

QOTD3: Legit definitely takes me back to college as a CKC member. It was definitely a serious part of my dialogue, e.g. “That party was legit, there were tons of chics, and the kegs were flowin'”

Thanks for checking out the 2004 Brunellos! I’ve had decent but not overly exciting results with the 2004 Rossos, but I hope there is a lot to be excited about from the Brunellos.

Wanted to wait until my 21th to post so I could have something to say.

Just want to let you know that you’ve already changed my wine world because my man Brian Yinger, who you gave a shout-out to in ep.444 on his 21, has been watching and got me excited about wine. Can we get him some free shipping or something 🙂
He sat me down with some friends on my b-day, the 20th, and we had a little tasty taste of wine. Great time with people I love…what more do I need.

Definitely, definitely, Hammer practically has a trademark on Legit. If you’re going to keep using it, you’d better have him as a guest (or maybe Ace of Spaces tasting with Jay-Z?).

I like the digressions about the other wine you’re drinking — if other people prefer the focus, maybe you could do some what-I’ve-been-drinking video blogs that are more in the style of your garyv vblogs, just you in a chair talking about what you’ve been drinking.

Definitely when you twittered about drinking Diamond Creek from the 70s, I wanted to know more about what that was like (I found an ’88 Diamond Creek Volcanic Hill for 42 bones(!) last fall, so I’m curious george about that).

I like the quiet, tense parts of movies where you know the roof is about to fall in, but everyone’s still and silent waiting for it to happen. Usually it’s movies like Cold Mountain or A Good Year that never pull me in at all.

Holy crapola dude that was a “tight” show. Great job, can’t wait to try these Brunellos…. in about 10 years.

QUOTD 1: Go for it with the rantyness if you wish… but don’t make it a rule. I really like when you get so into an ep that you start spouting off cool facts and minutia about a varietal or an area of the world. I’m all about the educational aspect, but don’t wanna stifle your creativity 🙂

QUOTD 2: Mission Impossible II. I remember fancy, flashy beginning with the Flamenco dancing, and a truly awesome John Wu fight scene at the end… the middle got almost laughably ridiculous though with all the face-switching, and I thought… WHERE THE HELL is this movie going? It figured itself out, though…

QUOTD 3: Legit is MY favorite word of the moment too. I don’t know what made me start using it all of the sudden. Don’t overuse it or else I’ll have to give it up. 😉
