87/100

The guest was a really nice guy but the sound was fuzzy and distant throughout and for that reason it only gets an 87

I’m guessing Gary didn’t really care for the Krug Family Reserve Generations since he didn’t offer up a critique or score. Which makes me happy, I’d hate so see someone’s wine get trashed in front of them.

    Nice show, spectacular guest…

    QOTD: No clue!

    Go Cowboys!

Formula one is a mess. Most of the big racing deals have become overpriced and all about the sponsors. Not many of us care anymore.
    Thanks Peter!

I agree with ParyB…I guess you didn’t care for the Family Generations and just wanted to not bash it in front of the guest…though you did drink some at the end there. Let us know what you think!

QOTD: I’m not really sure who is in it other than Danica Patrick?

I had the ultimate pleasure of meeting the senior Peter on the road into the tasting room at the winery twice during the mid 80’s and the early nineties. He was extraordinarily gracious and we talked about wine for 20 minutes. One of my favorite wine experiences along with experiencing his 1970 Vintage Selection Cab, the best wine I’ve ever had.

QOTD: Much as I’d like to see Lewis Hamilton win again, I don’t think anyone can get past Jenson Button with the lead he and Brawn have built up so far. Honda must be kicking themselves for giving up this chance. Come next year, with the spending cap, I can see Brawn becoming one of the big boys, up with McLaren and Ferrari.

I thought this was a great 2-parter with a great guest. I have enjoyed several vintages of the regular Charles Krug Cabernet Sauvignon, and I rarely drink CA cabs. Thank you, Mr. Mondavi for being on the show.

excellent show! Some of the first wine I ever drank was Krug Cab. in the mid 70’s

  • The guest seemed really cool, but I couldn’t watch yesterday’s episode, just not my flavor.

QOTD: Absolutely no idea. I do like watching those cars explode out of corners, though.

Thank You, Mr. Mondavi and GV!

G, I still don’t know how you can blow off Cali. Sauv Blanc producers such as Selene, Crocker & Starr, Fiddlehead to name a few. I mean, top tier handlers of the grape make the most versatile, acid bright and flavorful stuff that can be enjoyed with every kind of dish as well as on its own. Just this weekend, I discovered that Gregory Graham’s got an extremely ripe and generous ’07 Lake County at a worthy 20 bucks that outright blew me away.

Team Brawn should win unless they have a total collapse. But you can naver count out Ferrari and also Kimi.
