I like this episode, all three wines basically sucked but GV battled through and sometimes panning wines is more entertaining than praising them.’

Shame there will probably never be a show ‘wines that you can find around the UK’ – but still interesting to see how the more mass-produced wines go.

Gary – I see you are speaking in London in a few months.. any chance of a live wine tasting we could go to?

Those are some pretty poor scores. I would prefer that you focus on wines that are widely available in the $10-20 range that are serviceable.

QOTD – I jumped on somebody at work and although it was deserved, it probably could have been handled better by me. Therefore, I apologized.

Boy, that really sucked. But then again, it probably illustrates for me why buying inexpensive, readily available wine is usually a really, really bad play, at least for me.

QOTD: I apologized to my wife – you don’t need to know why.

Is Soave the grape? I thought it was Garganega (sp.?). Anyways, what are some good producers of those wines. Love the show. Go Eagles.

Garganega is the grape in Soave along with trebbiano di soave in some cases. My favorite producer is Anselmi although he technically doesn’t produce Soave anymore because the laws got way too out of control. He sticks to the classics and makes great wines

qotd: I’ll just go with right now and apologize for not being able to remember the last time before this one.
