Nice show. Can’t find enough Portugese wines in my area, so kind of a bummer. I just did the first wine of the month club in May and love it thus far. You should add the Portugese wines in your selections.

Bring back the blind tasting, and loved the days when you just would taste about 6 to 8 wines back to back.

    Take care.

Have you worn the mike in your office doing the taping before? I can’t recall. I would suggest to tape a show when you are using it and then take it off(the mike I mean). That would give us a much better perspective.

  • No need for a mic in the office. You might try it on location reviews.

    Great show today!

Great show… Portugal is consistently bringing the thunder.

QOTD: mike not needed in office, but on remotes locations, yes… sometimes it’s hard to hear you… and every word is priceless.

    crush it my friend!

You reminded me that I haven’t been checking out the forums in a long time. Need to hit that up soon.

QOTD: No. Wireless mikes are inconsistent and flat-sounding. Plus they can interact with cell phones and make really piercing noises. You’re better with the camera or boom mike. For out in the world, either boom mike or wireless, but not in your “home” at the W L T V set.

Another great one. So do I start with Douro or Alentejo? I just saw the free shipping item @ winelibrary. I will be making another purchase!
QOTD: No, did someone tell you that you aren’t loud enough?

  • No need for the mic, sounds fine to me.

You have been doing classic wine regions and emerging regions, you should do a state by state wine tasting!

QOTD. Not when you are in the office, the sound comes through loud and very clear. When you are on-site that’s a different story. Maybe a mic would help you in those situations where you tend to shout a bit too much to overcome ambient/crowd noise.

I remember the Esporao and the Villa Maria from the Super Tasting on the TC! Great wines! I’ve known the Esporao Reserva for some time. My local retailer had the 2000 (great in Portugal, not just Douro/Port) and I’ve been enjoying it until recently.

Keep it up on the different varietals! How about Southern Italian whites? Or the long due Jura episode?

  • For the question of the day I would say that you don’t need a mic, the sound is good enough.
For the moment of peace and massage, it was pretty nice I enjoyed it!
A suggestion to crush it even more, make your videos available on the dotsub website so that people who don’t understand english can enjoy your advice and get to know you and love you!

    Keep up the good work!

  • GV … Microphone.. Yes.
I’ll pray for Liz and you to have a smooth, peaceful and healthy baby delivery. Hope baby Vay makes an appearance on the show.

The videos have, are and will always rock!

    Moment of calm was good.

I think Mott should get a mic!

QOTD: You have to do shows with and without a wireless mike. Then I’ll decide. Obviously I can hear you the way it is.

    Gary,

Great to see you on the forefront of the Portuguese wines.
Esporao has been one of our favourite wines for a very long time.
Keep up with the good work and spread the word about the value
and consistence of the great wines of Portugal.

QOTD: Mic up on location– such as restaurants, wine bars, and conferences. Anywhere where there is background noise or you are not going to be close to the camera mic.

Fun show. I’m going to check out 330-360 for some nostalgia pleasure.

enjoyed the episode gary – i’ve never had any wine from this region of Portugal. always interesting to learn about new regions.

seriously, why are you remaining silent about all this brett favre nonsense? is it because of how PUMPED you were last year that he became a Jet? He sure CRUSHED IT with you guys…and by “it” I mean your playoff hopes.

all the best, your friendly resident Eagles fan.

qotd: You don’t need it in the office. Outside on the street, in restaurants, etc…you definitely need a mike.

BTW you didn’t ask…but if you and Lizzy are overdue with Baby V take Castor oil. It really helps to get the show on the road.

Thanks for all your great service! The story of wine is so interesting.
