I hate pop-ups, I think they are an invasion of privacy, and highly unethical. Although to you, Gary, they may be just one company’s way of “crushing it!”

Good episode, I’ve used the site for a few years now…the problem isn’t the site, it’s the lack of solid wine events. Same old same old.

Smooth show GV, smooth as Muscat!

Muscat (Moscatel) a very underappreciated grape varietal down here in Brazil, mostly because it is the grape of choice for a lot of cheep and often sweet sparkling.

I think it has very good nose, and tastes like afternoon on the beach. Very uncompromising, very inexpensive, and given time and place, it can be very good.

I never click on popups unless the mouse is misplaced so I don’t know. When I was growing up, Muscat was Muscatel and not something that anything but winos would drink. I drink dessert muscats but not much else. I drink a lot of whites but Muscat is not one of them.

I have been familiar with your guest’s site for a few months now. Another great service for the wine-world! He seems like a swell guy even if big cab superiority is something he is unashamed of- we all have the right to pleasure our palettes how we find fit.

Nice to meet the guy behind the site that I’ve referred to for a few years now…there is usually not a lot being listed here in VT (aside from a regular stream of events at the Trapp family Lodge), but it does come in quite handy when traveling.

NIce show Gary. I have never bought a muscat wine but may have had one at a tasting. I always thought they were just the sweet/non interesting stuff. Usually if I do see mucat here, its that orange muscat desert wine??

I hate to say it, but this guy was not “bringing the thunder” for me. He’s got an entire website dedicated to organizing events around wine, but doesn’t drink white? I usually love the guests and learning about their backgrounds, but this guy wasn’t bringing anything to the table for me.
