Non-industry types, and even many in the industry know little to nothing of the legendary work done by Heidi’s dad, Dick Peterson, for labels like Gallo, Heublein, Monterey (nice fighting varietals in the mid 80’s), Beaulieu, and others. Again, a good deal of his work is well covered in Chapter II of the 1990 book “Napa; the Story of an Ameican Eden”, by James Conaway.

I love Muscat Canelli, whether in the less common drier style, or in it’s more commonly found sweeter/dessert-style form. Great grape, and I’m sure hers is astounding, at the very least!

this was a great episode. i watched the pizza episode and i agree with the white sox being underrated and the cubs overrated. i am super stoked to watch the second part. i really want to be a winemaker and this is an excellent introduction

QOTD: A Norton Caramagnola Cabernet Sauvignon 2000, it?s a very simple but delicious wine, I think is only sold in the Argentinean Market, but it was my first trip to Bariloche ? Argentina with my brother, sisters and brothers-in-law. It was awesome. I bought a case, now a have only one in my cellar. Next year when it turns 10, I am going to drink it with the same people again!
