Spectacular episode, spectacular guest. The best thing about it is Heidi’s voice…I could listen to those dulcet tones all day!

I caught part 2 first. Tremendous woman and very gracious – Gary you talked on top of her so many times. Even still, great interview – even if I thought you were going to pan her Cabernet.

  • The Grapevine

John: What a gracious and graceful guest.
Contrary Mary: Heidi is delightful, not to mention smart, successful, beautiful (I hate her!).
Cottonmouth: Bring back the pizza guy. Just kidding.

Great guest so far, I can tell you really enjoyed having her on the show. She actually reminds me quite a bit of one of my high school English teachers. I love the idea of a Wine Awards- the only I’ve ever seen are those given by Wine Enthusiast.

Thank you for having her on. It was interesting hearing how she was involved with the white zin boom. She was also the single reason why I left white zin and truly began drinking all types of wine. It was February 7, 2001 and it was her 1997 La Sirena Sangiovese. It changed my life. It changed everything from that day forward. It was the single wine that turned me into a wine geek as well as a collector. Thank you Heidi and thank you Gary.

Very nice show – glad to see you’ve taken to heart the commentary on letting the guests speak. Heidi of course was great. I know well how well a dry muscat goes with food – Aum Cellars makes an incredible white wine called Tres Joyas – Viogner blended with a touch of Sauv Blanc and dash of symphony (a hybrid of grenache gris and muscat), that has been flying off the shelf. Next year we are definitely upping production from 150 cases!

How cool to hear about Heidi’s background! The part about her being a flower girl at Justin Meyer’s wedding? Great job, Gary!

Gary – Heidi is a great guest and extremely classy. I just rolled my eyes and couldn’t believe you said “that was ballsy of you” in the interview or “I’ll first suck the eye out of the fish” … She handled your comments very well and truly professional.

Your point did get notice to me at least – a $30 moscato … in this economy. Wow, a $30 bottle being used as a by the glass pour. In New York city, that will probably fly … in northeast Ohio, I suspect that would be next to impossible. Even her comment, “I love a glass as I go pick tomatos in the backyard.” Again, not in northeastern Ohio. People are not pouring a glass of a $30 wine to take out to the garden while you fuss around. It’s just a whole different ballgame in Napa.

Very much looking forward to part 2!

    Nice to have Heidi on.
I would not think one winery would be able to trade mark
a printing process like Lenticular, since it is a printing method…
Anyone that is willing to spend an extra buck on printing should be able to use it.
It would improve the show for Gary to focus on the wines and the guests and not make remarks to people in the room, also have him let the guest speak without interupting.

HD! When did this happen? I actually meant to leave a comment suggesting a switch to HD/HQ. It looks great and loads fine unlike those damn Youtube HD videos during the day.

  • We are so excited to have Heidi’s wines in our tasting room in Santa Rosa, CA. If you are in wine country (northern California) check out our tasting room as we will soon be pouring Hedi’s wines along with eight other small production wines. Great job on part one.

I’m not sure if I have had any of her wines, but based on her “class” alone, i’m going to search one out…
