I thought Keith was a great guest. I have seen several times before chat people who are really into food (cheese or food in general) are able to evaluate wines well. I guess it’s having trained one’s palate and focus.
qotd: no idea, but I didn’t want you to think I ignored it.

    nice show, good times.
    A. bummer about l’arlot. i keep hearing really good things about their wine and almost bought a bottle of their o2 a year back.
    B. chinon blanc…. gotta find some. i actually was in the loire 3 weeks ago and had some of their regular cuvee chinon rouge and it was tasty. 12 euros for a 1/2 bottle at a resto…. i just could not get past the salami on the nose. i was get some red fruit and some of the lettuce action, but hot salami was singin to me.
    qotd – not me : )

  • Wow, I really liked this guy. Keith, I gotta say, I’ve got Roma tomatoes, jalapenos, cucumber, and zucchini in the garden at the moment, and the in-laws get some spectacular local grown red onions. Seriously, we make pico de gallo 3 or 4 times a week. The other day I was out of corn chips so I was eating salsa with cucumber chips, buddy there is NOTHING like it.

QOTD: Mott is going to be the first crush it millionaire.

I may have to try out Keith’s book (Already ordered Crushit of course) to balance the playing field! I’ve been buying more from farmer’s markets recently, so I’ll have to check out his videos to find some more stuff to make from the local, fresh produce!

QOTD: Save maybe a surprise play no one knows yet, I’d have to say Keith could be the first to make $999,887 (after he pays you for the bet & book). I think he’s got some great ideas that could grow with some of the advice I’m sure you’ll give in the book!

    Cool!

    Fun guest, laid back.

Chefs definately have a sharper nose than the average ‘chap’.

I’ve enjoyed Chinon before, but never a white.

My ‘coup de coeur’ for a Chenin Blanc is Clos la Briderie Tourraine Mesland from the Val de Loire region.

Good luck to the first Crush It! millionaire!

    Cheers!
