    Hey Gary,
Im still waiting to hear your opinion on the pizza fiasco. This guest was cool, but the vomit thing was kinda gross.

Gary – you should listen more to your own crew! Your boy Jim Gorman got me into Chinon blanc (from Noblaie) several months ago… I loved it and have been trying to buy them relatively often, to diversify from German rieslings, Austrian gruners and white Rhones…

By the way – what’s the story with gourmetlibrary??? I’m lucky that I live in NYC and can drive to NJ every week or so for my fix of wines, cheeses and other goodies… but it’s time you get that puppy going and start to feed America!

–> Keith was a REALLY cool guest, Gary! He was competent on camera, able to tell a coherent story, had intelligent opinions, and you guys had good rapport going.

I hope you have him back next year as a guest again, so he can pay you that $100 on camera! <– 😉

What an outstanding episode! Keith Snow was a solid guest who seemed to interact well with you Gary. It was great to hear his comments about the nose and the taste of these wines. I’ve checked out his website, Harvest Eating, and am sure it will be a reference source for me in the days ahead.

Many thanks for this episode and for bringing on such a great guest. You’re on a roll here lately with Heidi Barrett and now Keith Snow. Keep it up GV, it’s what your viewers enjoy.

Keith was a fantastic quest. I love when you have food experts on that have a palate and can keep up with you GV.

I don’t have an answer for your question of the day … hopefully me.

There really wasn’t much of a QOTD there. I guess we can speculate…I’ll guess that the first “Crush It” millionaire will be named Bob. He’ll live in Washington state…and he’ll make his money….on the strength of his passion for fish. There, kiss ass QOTD answered.

(If I get that right is there some kind of a prize?)

  • Wasn’t as impressed with the wines today as I was with what Keith is doing with sustainable farming. Plan to contact him for further information.
However, thanks as always for interesting diversions to wine appreciation.
And, hurray for your Vouvray episode!!!!

  • Wow, a great guest today, very entertaining show.

Have not had any of the wines seen here today.

QOTD: who will be the first Crush It millionaire? (Apart from GaryVee you mean?) someone who takes it to the max I would think.

Some of the best butchering of foreign languages you have done in a good while. Excellent. It is so fun to watch.

Thanks, G. The guest was pretty chill. His story of no risk, no reward was pretty interesting, motivating, and depressing at the same time. Also, that Chinon Blanc sounds right in my wheel house as far as whites go. Thanks for the intro.

    QOTD: A lurker.

  • GV, you should have asked from the beginning what Mr. Snow’s wine preferences were. I suspect he is a ‘New World’ guy. The 2008 Nikolaihof Hefeabzug Gruner Veltliner comes in at 12.5% alc. That’s hot? And the vomit flavor? Not sure Terry Theise would have made the effort to import a wine with so obvious a flaw.

Mr. Snow’s take on 2006 L?arlot Chapeau Cotes Du Nuits Villages was laughable. Maybe a food pairing idea would have helped. You tried. You got it right, GV. But for a chef he was curiously devoid of pairing ideas. Odd.

Otherwise it was an entertaining show.

I met Keith in Dijon this summer, not very impressed. He and Gary share PR companies, which is the only reason Gary brought him on the show. I bet the PR department decided on the subject for the show as well. It was fun to see the French patronize Keith-harvest eating-a concept which confused them, ‘how else would you eat?’. What was the question of the day? I’m confused.

    Hey Gary,

I must say, most of the times I agree with your pallet, but this time I can see clearly that everybody’s pallet is different.

I had the ‘chinon les chanteaux’ 2006 and 2007 earlier this year…
I bought myself 12 bottles, but afterwards, ended up giving away 11 bottles.
For my pallet, this was one of the nastiest wines I have ever had.. scored it 69 points.
Almost no nose at all, and the accidity was waaaaaay to high.

Maybe I had an off-day, maybe it just ain’t my kind of wine…

Last week I enjoyed a couple of white vouvrays (like on your previous show). Must say that I was impressed with these pretty inexpensive wines.
