YES YES YES (could be a wine name?) let wine mature. I understand the CKC cannot afford a 20 year old wine but if they could put a few 2005/2007 Rhones away in their parents basement for a decade+ they will be richly rewarded. Patience is a virtue!

N. Rhone is currently my favorite region. Hermitage is awesome — some of the best wines I’ve ever had.

I’ve been watching winelibrarytv for over a year solid now and download your shows on my ipod for when I work. I have told my friends, family, and coworkers to check you out as you give such good insight. When we go out to eat, I now feel more confident in looking over a wine list thanks to you.

QOTD:It’s 92 here today,did a little hiking in the mountains in the morning and floated down the Deschutes river in the afternoon.

During hot weather I find shade and read a great book or run through a lawn sprinkler.

Hide in a movie theater and have the girl smuggle in a bottle of wine in her purse.

on extrodinarily hot days like that, I go to the pool with a gin and tonic in hand. usually does the trick.

oh, and btw, Sanchez will not be a good QB this year.

95 degrees? Bicycle or go for walks in the shade during the day. The heat usually lowers the humidity and makes for nice evenings after work (and the intense sunshine) until bed time. I’m most tempted to move from wine to mexican beers during the hottest weather.

CKC here at Auburn University. Had my first “Marketing on the Internet” class today and the professor started off by letting us know that the internet has not revolutionized business…

QOTD: Would love to be hanging out at the pool, but now it’s nothing but class time whether the weather is good or bad.

I still remember the two times I’ve been fortunate enough to have Guigal’s La Mouline – the 2000 and the 1982. Aside from fabulous flavors, aromatics, and finishes, the structure and balance was something to behold. Or rather, one couldn’t behold it – it was so perfect that it was difficult to concentrate on and analyze.
