QOTD: Hot days lead me to stay indoors and relax

  • AaronB

QOTD: 95 degrees? I’ll either take a hike up in the mountains where it’s cooler, or crank up the AC and relax on the couch with a good book.

  • QOTD: Run. For whatever reason, I seem to pick the hottest days to do it. Then I retreat inside in the hopes of preventing myself from melting like a DQ chipper sandwich (if only they still made them . . . .).

    Fun episode!

Really enjoy food pairings just as informative as tasting notes. You tell me what a wine pairs with and I know the wine. Wasn’t Thomas Jefferso also big on Hermitage?
YES YES YES (could be a wine name?) let wine mature. I understand the CKC cannot afford a 20 year old wine but if they could put a few 2005/2007 Rhones away in their parents basement for a decade+ they will be richly rewarded. Patience is a virtue!
    QOTD:
Hot summer days beg for chablis on the deck with your #1 squeeze!

    N. Rhone is currently my favorite region. Hermitage is awesome — some of the best wines I’ve ever had.

QOTD: Take the kids to the pool…

    Hi Gary,
I’ve been watching winelibrarytv for over a year solid now and download your shows on my ipod for when I work. I have told my friends, family, and coworkers to check you out as you give such good insight. When we go out to eat, I now feel more confident in looking over a wine list thanks to you.

QOTD: Here in da FLA, it’s hot most of the time so I like to hit the beach for the day and cool off with some Italian Ice.

Thanks, G. I so wish I could ball in the Northern Rhone arena. Of the few I’ve had, they come across more interesting than delicious and for that reason, they qualify as a big time favorite. Would love to see you crack some whites, too. How about a CdP blanc ep.?

QOTD: I tend to stay indoors on the 90+ days. Extreme heat does nothing for me other make a total bitch to be around.

thank god. finally a new show about the northern rhone. this was definitely due.

on extrodinarily hot days like that, I go to the pool with a gin and tonic in hand. usually does the trick.

oh, and btw, Sanchez will not be a good QB this year.

    all the best,

95 degrees? Bicycle or go for walks in the shade during the day. The heat usually lowers the humidity and makes for nice evenings after work (and the intense sunshine) until bed time. I’m most tempted to move from wine to mexican beers during the hottest weather.

  • CKC here at Auburn University. Had my first “Marketing on the Internet” class today and the professor started off by letting us know that the internet has not revolutionized business…

QOTD: Would love to be hanging out at the pool, but now it’s nothing but class time whether the weather is good or bad.

  • I still remember the two times I’ve been fortunate enough to have Guigal’s La Mouline – the 2000 and the 1982. Aside from fabulous flavors, aromatics, and finishes, the structure and balance was something to behold. Or rather, one couldn’t behold it – it was so perfect that it was difficult to concentrate on and analyze.

QOTD: This ex-CKC is looking for a job 🙂
