line of the day – ‘My wife has two nurses’

This guy might be a legend in the business and have a great back story, but he was just a little bit past it to make the show an entertaining one. GV did his best to tee the guy up but at 93 years of age waddayagonnado?

    Gary,

I assume that you recorded this episode before the knee surgery. In any event, I hope the recovery is going great.

What a wonderful gentleman! Mr. Opici looks at least ten years younger than his age. And, it’s great to hear about the history of the wine business.

QOTD: In 25 years, Gary will be offering free wine shipping for a month in exchange for buying 4 season tickets to his Jets! I think the U.S. will do very well over the next quarter century, Mr. Opici.

Thanks for another terrific show GV.

Any man that is asked to ask a question… and instead leaves us his wisdom, is fine by me.

QOTD: in 25 years, it will be 2034. that. is. crazy. and wine will be digitally made by computers and will all taste of the oak monster. let us hope not.

Wow! 93? If I could be half that cognizant and energetic by the time I’m 70, I would be grateful. What an awesome guest!! This ep should go to the right hand navigation.

QOTD: I think things will start turning around and there will be a huge influx of innovation.

Love the history you bring into your show. Great guest, so charming. Hope that I look and act as good as he does at 93.

QOTD: I hope that we are still the America our founding fathers wanted us to be. I hope that we are still the best country in the world and opportunity with hard work is abundant.

Great guest and show. Thank you, Gary, for putting him on.

P.S. Get the wine bottle out of the way next time. It does nothing for the show.

    What…nothing about the *Homemade Wine*?

QOTD: Whatever the case, I will have a real cellar to keep my wine and be done w/this passive crap.

    Hello all,
As an FYI, this interview was recorded Monday afternoon, 8/24.
I am so happy to say that I have been employed by this GENTLEMAN and his family for over 7 years.
To work in a family that is guided by this legend in the wine industry is humbling.

Contrary Mary: Great show! Great interview! Gary V. asked all the right questions, listened carefully and enjoyed Mr. O. and Mr. O seemed to enjoy Gary V. right back. TV (internet, cable, network) doesn’t get any better than this.

  • Great guest… reminds me a lot of my grandfather.

QOTD: Just like in Back To The Future II – hover boards, self-drying clothes, and microwave pizzas the size of a coaster.

    Long time lurker, first time…

What a great episode. I didn’t even care that you didn’t taste two of the wines. And judging by the look on your face, I understand why you didn’t, um, evaluate the Barberone. I echo the comment that it was your best, most respectful interview ever and that it should go in the Hall of Fame. It seems even Sacha was in awe of Mr. Opici. Since this is my first time commenting, let me say that I appreciate so much the time you take to pump out content and I really hope that you keep going – even if it means fewer episodes per week. To quote the finale of my favorite dirty jers TV show – Don’t stop!
