No invasion of Klingons, no swine-flu, Putin was not yet despot of Russia, Clinton singed a presidential order protecting millions of acres of National Forest (this is the only non sractastic piece on this list…), Gore won the popular vote…. hmmm. It’s gotta be that National Forest thing. On second thought, perhaps the fact that it was better than 1000?

QOTD: Best thing about the year 2000? Well, I graduated from high school in the spring and started college in the fall that year. That’s probably been mentioned to death but what about 2000 being the first presidential election I could vote in.

Forgot to mention – well done on last weeks episodes. They were seriously awesome and your ‘everyday’ guests were brilliant. IT was fantastic viewing. & good luck to Drew and his fight…We are all thinking about him.

That is the highest rated wine on WL that I recall. I loved 2000 because of all the Chicken Littles running around thinking that the sky was falling and all the computers were going to crash and burn.

Would love to taste some of this wine but the only stuff i can find in the UK has to be bought in case quantaties and that’s a little bit of a problem.

The best thing about 2000 was that i moved house to where i live now.

QOTD: the best thing about the year 2000? it’s when my business started booming, had many commissions that year, and we’ve been growing ever since.

And another thing, less important but meaningful is that everyone stopped yapping about the Y2K bug; seriously, it was annoying as hell.

Also, just wanted to say that although the wines were far from great during NYC week — the shows were awesome (I was able to be there for day 4 and the after party on day 5) and I loved the concept of the broadcast into the street. Really got people on the street interested and engaged, and got people talking and communicating (which is what this is all about!).

QOTD – hands down the best thing in 2009 so far is watching my 2 year old boy turning smarter and funnier every day.

QOTD: 2000 was basically a non-desrcript year. If anything, I remember Bush was new in the White House and was already being made fun of. And, it was the year before 09/11 and everything seemed so different.

That wine sounded amazing!!! Its awesome to see you get that excited. CRUSH IT!
