      Good show, Gary.
It’s good to see people excited about their product on the show. It also highlights wine that buyers might seek out.
      Long live the pickles.

Qotd: You did great dude. All those wines sounded amazing and I like how you have an intimate knowledge of not only the wines that you produce, but also the terroir.

Keep the guest coming Gary V, it always adds a little something something in my opinion.

I love the number of industry guests you have had on lately. After blind tastings I think they are my favorites.
I enjoyed the first half of the episode with Dick was talking about his background and about the process. He really seems to love what he is doing. However once it got to the tasting (and I can’t put my finger on it) but he began to come across kind of phony. Maybe (probably) it is due to my sensitivity to marketing/sales-y/pitch-y people and is probably unfair.

Gary, I just posted some comments and got a message that my “comment is awaiting moderation.” What the heck does that mean?

I had the 05 estate and was extremely disapointed. Thin, light, tasting like Pinot flavored Vitamin Watter. And it’s expensive too. Highly overrated winery as many tasters who haven’t been taken in by the hype have so remarked.
Count me out of the 4000.

Wow, this was one of the first episode I’ve had to turn off. The guest was just so bad.

Gary, kudos to you for your new interview chops. I could see you biting your tongue and trying not to interrupt. In this case, I would have welcomed an interruption…
Still, Mr. V, your skills are growing. Awesome.

    • QOTD: You did great.

Gary/Michelle: why was the battery on the camera even an issue? You’re shooting in your office – it can be plugged in.

      Mr. Shea needs a wristband.

(And so do I; you never did tell us how to get a green Statue of Liberty one.)

I cannot help but be bemused by the prices that some winemakers ask customers to pay for their Pinot Noir in America – 82 dollars? I can go down to supermarkets in England and get 10 year old 5th growth Grand Cru Pauillac for 64 dollars. I know which bottle I’d buy..

QOTD: Ya did great, Dick! I’ve always enjoyed your wines, and I look forward to trying your current vintages soon! I might have to make a pilgrimage north to Oregon before the year’s end…

Always a lot of information to be gotten out of your shows, this one being no exception.

I really enjoy all of your shows, with all the variety they bring(even with the battery dying).

Thank you again Gary, for producing a great show for the end of my day(yes, I know it’s nearly 7 AM, but my previous day is just now ending).

QOTD: You did a great job, Dick. You are passionate about your wine and the wine making process, and provided me with very useful tidbits of information about grape growing and wine making.

I’ll be looking to try your wines!

      Thank you for introducing yourself.

      Gary,

Did you say Xpresso? No way! That is a crappy car from the 80s, not a coffee drink. Nice show, reminded me that Pinot exists, too many thin, bad bottles. The Homer sounds tasty.

PS – Dick should name his Chardonnay “STADIUM” ….. then all the Met’s fans would buy it up. (Bad Marketing Humor)

Very informative and comfortable style Dick. You were easy and unassuming. I have enjoyed the wines from your vineyards over the last few years, but am a little concerned about the overall price points for Oregon Pinots. Thanks for bringing your wines to this venue.
