Has anyone else experienced this: the more of a wine geek I become, the more I find other wine geeks annoying. At some point you just have to drink the stuff!

One of your best episodes Gary, ever. feel free to have as many master sommeliers and masters of wine on your show as possible.
great subject too. I’ve tried to explain and i’ve seen master somm’s explain the importance of decanting quality sparkling before to people to no avail. Usually people worry the bubbles are gonna be gone right away, and nothing you tell them will convince them. So killer subject for this episode, hopefully seeing it in action will show the benefits of decanting champagne to many doubters. Definitely learned alot myself on this one. keep it up, can’t wait to catch more episodes like this one. Would love to see you do an episode on vin jaune’s too Gary.

  • Definitely bring back Jennifer and invite some other knowledgeable wine nerds. Fantastic two-part episode.

A woman who brings her own sabers… I’m not even sure what to say about that. Amazing.

    Oops, I forgot a little tidbit…

When Gary pointed to his belly with the saber during the “You, with a little bit of me” saying, freaked me out a little bit.

G’Day Gary, I observed Jennifer had her mouth slightly open when “Sniffy Sniffing”. Is this “retro breathing” and could you please explain the phenomenon? Cheers from Down Under!

Great ending! Decanting sounds interesting, but I’m not going to spend big time bucks for a decanter. Will just enjoy it from the bottle

Just a fantastic show, Top Ten guest, great content, only missing a QOTD! Plus a bonus off-camera cameo appearance by kmurph! (Her second show, I think.) Awesome knowledge, definitely the most thunderous episode(s) in recent memory. Great job!

  • Very great ending to the first part. The sabering was a nice finish, I would have been interested in a QOTD from a serious “wine nerd” though.

  • Good ending to a great show. She is a doll and her knowledge is wonderful. She stands well with you on the show. Nice! Can’t wait to decant one.

Gary, it was about her views. She nailed it. She crushed it. Good job!

OH MY – ending was amazing. wow. I am speechless. She taught you something. How cool.

    That ruckin rocked!!
Loved the science (got a little bit of nerd in me, too) and the technical aspect she brought to the discussion. Your interviewing skills are greatly improving, sir.

I totally want to try sabering not only bubbles but a wide array of things.
