QOTD: The best airport drinking experience was when I arrived at the airport to leave Jamaica after a week of CKC spring breaking. The taste of the last red stripe I downed before I got on the airplane was life affirming. It was crisp, it was delicious, and it was textbook jamaica. Whenever I crack one I always remember back to that last airport red stripe I had and it makes my heart sing.

21 out of 30 points scored not by the miami offence, i was there gary 25 yards from braylon edwards TD, and it was devistating. The jets just give me pain. I loved this show cause it was real, and definately loved the counting crows background music.

Frankfurt Airport 2007, Weizen Beers, Just arrived in Europe for an 8 week holiday, meet a friend and went to the bar, first experience with German Beers, grew to really like them during the trip

At Newark Airport in NJ, I drank a Budweiser at about 8 o’clock in the morning just before boarding a flight to Miami to kick off a bachelor party cruise.

I don’t like Budweiser, but I was ready to party. There is a Budweiser restaurant in the airport. I ordered a cinnamon vanilla french toast and a pint.

This was the best Budweiser I’ve ever had in my life. Never have I tasted a Bud quite like this. It was even a bit fruity. Extremely fresh. The Bud is brewed right at this restaurant. The main brewery is right across the street. That’s got a lot to do with it I’m sure.

But in the end, the mass production of Budweiser and it’s shipping process really ruins what initially seemed to be a pretty good beer. Not great, but certainly drinkable, and very surprising.

I think its utterly amazing that you can travel and still put on shows, let alone come up with stuff like chicken nugget pairings. I went to NY a couple weekends ago and nearly flunked out. A+ Gary.

QOTD: Drinking Sam Adams while watching football waiting for a flight at the San Francisco airport. I’d been in Napa and Sonoma tasting for a week, so it was time for some beer. We met a guy who works for Monday Night Football, so we drank and chatted it up with him. Fun time!

A guy at work the other day got a 50 piece chicken nugget bucket for lunch and ate them all … and then I found $20. (I didn’t really but it makes the story better.)

best airport experience was a 3 martini dinner before getting on a red eye at the stanfords restaurant and bar in portland… bartender filled’em quick and i was asleep before that plane took off, and slept the whole flight.

I did get drunk on a plane once, and come to think of it, that was the first time i voluntarily drunk wine and enjoyed it too!!! good times!

Another great episode. The only time I’ve ever been in an airport was back in 1998, Schipol Airport, no alcohol involved though. Plenty of alcohol once we got to Amsterdam.

QOTD: I don’t drink in airports or on planes. Not one for using the washroom on a plane. But, that’s not to say that I’ve seen some drunk-azz mo-fo’s at both places and are equally annoying; especially when sitting next to someone or people who are wasted. Personally, I think booze should’t be allowed on planes.
