I’m glad to see the book tour is going well and We are staying home for the holidays. On tap for the reds is Elyse (Jacob Franklin) Charbono and Le Cuvier 2002 Zinfandel. As for the whites; Wilson Creek White Cabernet and Laetitia XD sparkling. Followed by a desert wine from Gelfand winery in Paso Robles.

QOTD. Going to London to spend time with our friends Tanya and Eral. Eral Loves Italian wine so we’re bringing some 2000 Casanova di Neri Tenuta Nuova Brunello di Montalcino and some 2000 Cantina Vignaioli Barbaresco Cru Marcarini from Elvio Pertinace. So It should be good.

QOTD: For the first time in my adult life, my folks are traveling to my house for T-Day. We always explore with the wines at this time of year and I really enjoy it. Plus, we all gel together, so the wine only adds to the fun.

The Foxglove sounded like it was going old world based on the barnyard reference, but once you brought out the matches and burned them, it says to me that part of that run had a ‘problem’ and got hit a little heavy with the SO2 trying to save it…

As usual I am on wine detail, and will be bringing a selection of some things purchased via WL, and a bunch of stuff that I’ve made, including a barrel tasting of the 2009 Curico Valley carmenere from grapes shipped north back in May.

Nice show, zins are fun. Opolo mt. Zin is a goodhearty but balanced one, I like Quivira a lot too, plus there are totally biodynamic and certified by demeter. QOTD: Here at my house, with wife and son, maybe in laws.
