Wow i made it into the first 30 comments, thats rare. Fun show–love the yiddish drops; i think we should have a yiddish word of the week! I’ve been a huge cava fan for some time now, hope the qpr stays as good as its been.
QOTD: firstly, just started reading crush it, enjoying it so far. real QOTD: 1. the people; 2. the music; 3. the booze.

Oh also,1. KAHUNA–hilarious. And 2. this was by far the most i’ve ever heard mott’s voice. i think the giants will get 5 more wins, maybe enough for a wild card in the nfc.

Another great show; Marcy was superb ’cause she really added to the epeisode. You have to have her back. Loved the “give/take” between you two.

Love that you had Marcy on the show and love this episode regardless. Most entertaining wine library episode yet (though I’ve only seen three or four). : )

I couldn’t agree more, Marcy, about the catering halls that are clueless about trying to sell good wines on the events. This comes from the medium to lower end sales people that are new to the business and (sadly) have not learned how to sell an event. Many of the higher-end venues will have a more experienced sales person that knows how to work the sale.

Anyway, good job Marcy. GV…good choice for a guest and I like the tempo of these shows lately.

This guest really brought something to the show, kind of a wine appreciators point of view (not connoisseur) and seemed to meld well with the Gary persona 🙂 I personally liked the questions that she asked, its always good to review basics, even at Gary’s level of the game. Great episode

The most important part of a party is not running out of booze. I have many different types of friends so some need beer some need wine some need liquor.

I have gone to parties where I don’t know a single person and if there was enough booze I made tons of friends and turned the party around from small groups talking to a huge loud rager.
