Awesome guest, and I’d like to see a non-Oktoberfest, sophisticated visit to Munich. It’s a city with serious culture, a fascinating history, and an effortless blend of old and new. Despite some protestations by Berliners, it is a very cool city, with a growing population of artists and designers. Check out some cutting edge design in the new Herzog and de Meuron shopping center, and then buy some wine, bread and cheese and relax in the English gardens: a real Munich experience.

Great Spot!! Some of my 2 Fav people & with some of Fav things ‘Food & Travel’. Samantha I have been watching her for yrs., living vicariously threw her travels on the Travel Channel. Gary I started watching a few yrs back via Apple TV then most recently the web. These 2 R more alike than U may see from the surface, they in my mind (as should be in yours) where/are both the “Next Generation Starters” for Travel & Wine. Samantha came around when the most travelled host on T.V. had to wear a 3 piece suit. have accent to shoot a segment & talk scripted ( for instance My Name Is Robin Leach..) instead of with personality & flare like she finally brought us, Gary with his passion & enthusiasm for wine peeled back all the pretentiousness most wine gurus throw in our face & he brought us a real man drinking pretentious & un-pretentious wines giving us a chance to really feel comfortable to do the same. These 2 have shown us you don`t have to be rich to enjoy the finer things in life (like media use to cripple us with) you just have to live & try new things whenever you can. So Thank You Samantha for showing us you can live in the most desolate areas of the world and still find natures beauty more beautiful than anything Nordstrom can throw are way & Thank You Gary for Teaching us you can find a Great 87+ bottle of wine for under $20. if we need to, and bringing a Fun & Charismatic charm in to the Wine world (Finally). Cheers to U both!!

Great show!! My wife and I love watching Samantha Brown. She’s very genuine and honest, and her sense of humor is great. I love that she pulled out a Simpsons reference!! She’s great!

This was NOT episode #772. It needs to be renamed the cleavage episode. Was that chest hair popping out of Gary’s shirt? And it was actually a nice shirt for change. Unfortunately Samantha does not have any chest hair, but it was a nice view none the less.

QOTD…I’d love to see Samantha do a show on Walla Walla, Washington. She could call it “The next Napa Valley.” On second thought, don’t do that. Keep it a secret between us.

You’ve had some great shows this week…I’ve enjoyed them all. And yeah….Samantha Brown showed some amazing reflexes catching her wine glass!

QOTD#1: I’m relatively new to WL, so I definitely think Gary is amazing.

QOTD#2: My husband and I are taking our first trip to Montego Bay in a few weeks (Hmmmm….do I detect the distinct aroma of ganja on the sniffy-sniff? Oh, never-mind…it was the waiter walking by.) As winter approaches, I always enjoy travel shows featuring clear, azure water, bright sunshine, and sissy drinks with little umbrellas. Samantha should travel to the Caribbean.

it’s always nice to have a relatively quick-witted and attentive guest. she got thrown a bit by the question of the day, but it’s rare to see someone who can keep up with gary’s abrupt conversational turns.

qotd: maybe it’s not exotic enough to fill a series in the u.s., or maybe it’s happened and i just missed it, but it would be interesting to see a tour of canada’s highlights. or maybe you could do a series where each episode focuses on a u.s. state, or you could stretch it over a series of episodes as each state demands.
