    Great episode. I have been drinking Gundlach Bundschu since the late 80s and have loved the wines. We bought a case of cabernet and drank one bottle a year for the nest 12 years. It was very interesting to see hoe the wine developed over time.

    Liked the guest. Seems “cool”. As far as 2006, Just had a “thanksgiving” dinner early. Had an ’06 Zin. It was perfect. The ’06 vintage made nice light wines that go well for the uncoming holiday. Can’t wait for part 2.

    Guest was cool. I like that he ‘downsized’ his vineyard to focus on the WINE part of the business. The Guwertz must’ve been great, because you kept it honest on the Pinot.

    I have to say that Jeff Bundschu is pretty awesome. I’m digging the “Elvis Costello meets the Dude” look, and his personality/presence is a great blend, too. Anyone who can roll with the outrageous non sequiturs of the Thunder Show in the midst of his family history is a total rock star. Sounds like he makes good wine, as well.
