‘I’m quite bored by it and I’m almost taking a nap.’

After a couple of bore draws this episode turns up a decisive and surprising winner of the head to head. Makes for a much better show.

Not a fan of those Packers colors, Bud. Fun blind, though. Thanks. Good to see a no-namer step up and coming from a brand-spanking new vintage is a good sign.

QOTD: Gift cards from my local wine stores and nothing more.

  • Alright, way to bring the thunder Evening Land! I knew one of the blind tasting eps would end up like this one…so pumped to see it.
QOTD: I’m hoping for a FlipCam (like Coth), or perhaps some ’07 Chateauneuf…although a case of that Pinot wouldn’t be too bad either…;-)

  • I love it when the less expensive ones win out!

QOTD: I’d really like to get my job back or one that is somehow even better (or pays more).

That was an interesting episode. But I’m about to get tired of Pinot.

QOTD: I want my Cowboys to win! besides that, just to be able to be with my family, and make and eat awesome food! Well, and maybe, be a guest on WLTV!

  • Very interesting episode indeed!
Question: For Christmas I’ll like a fatboy bean bag. It’s a huge 140cm x 180cm bean bag, that can be used as a chair, as a lounge, etc… just an awesome thing to have in your house!

Love Oregon Pinot and it relevance in my wine journey – my first trip to a wine region.

QOTD: the hand of god to come down and smote the CC companies for their redonkulous policies, arbitrary fees and abusive interest rates. I know I’m not alone on this.

I am stunned at the results of your blind tasting. I have tasted almost every vintage of Beaux Freres, and have never scored one this low… but, I have not tasted the 2007. I will pull one out for tomorrow night to see what’s going on (or not, as the case may be). Regardless, you are absolutely right about double blind tastings. I am a charter member of a double blind tasting group that has been tasting weekly or monthly for 30+ years. Besides being the most humbling thing I do in life, it is definitely one of the most revealing.

QOTD: Good health, so I will be able to drink at least a preponderance of my wine cellar.

The 2007 growing year in Oregon was very poor. Alot of wineries produced sub-par wines that year. To be fair, maybe you should be tasting like-vintages if the wines come from the same region.

QOTD: I want you to do my WLTV episode idea for the holidays.

Choose 4-6 wines and taste them blind once a week for an episode of WLTV. Then repeat this blind tasting lineup for 4-6 weeks and track the changes in your perceptions/scores of the wines. I think it would really show the idea that tasting wine is often more subjective than objective. You could also add another experimental element to the idea by increasing decanting time. So for the first blind tasting – decant 0 hours, 2nd – decant 1 hour, 3rd – decant 2 hours etc… etc… I think it would be a fun/enlightening experiment and a nice little gimmick to keep us watching. Lets nerd up WLTV.

but no seriously this holiday I want to Graduate and find a job, I’ve been a CKC for too long.
