89/100

lines of the day – ‘Bunny Sniffs’ and ‘On the tart-o-meter this is off the charts’

Solid episode, GV helped out the guest a little more than he usually does…can’t blame him.

Nice show. A little disappointing with the wines, but the guest was nice and not too timid with the tasting.

Christmas pack. Hmm. Couldn’t convince my wife on the CW packs, but I can disguise the Christmas pack as a gift. Cool.

QOTD: Sorry, never had either one. Not much into distillates, in general, although I have been known to dip into some cognac, armagnac, or very mild single-malt scotch from time to time. Actually, I wouldn’t mind seeing a cognac/armagnac episode sometime.

Love Tequila and Mezcal. I think they are made from the same Agave plant but from different areas. I don’t think I’ve had a decent Mezcal since I was in Mazatlan a long time ago and I think good mezcal hasn’t really hit the US yet. Check out the Tequila whispererererer.com

  • I have loved her ever since she was following around drug addicts in the streets on MTV. I’m sure there are a bunch of people that are going to talk about how hot she is, but it’s really hard not to. The thing that gets me is her voice. Silky…

Anyway, QOTD: I prefer tequila. I’m not the biggest fan of the smokiness of Mezcal. Odd because I really enjoy Islay scotch…

Great episode. It is great to see guests that aren’t afraid to say what they taste and smell. Plus she has a great smile.

QOTD: I am a huge fan of Tequila! I have never tried a Mezcal and have seen them at bars but just haven’t gotten around to tasting them. I like tequila because it can be as complex as scotch but is not drank in that fashion for most people and I love teaching people about it.

    Thanks Gary and Serena!

Never had mezcal… but not a big tequila fan, so maybe I should try mezcal and I might like it better. The smokiness definitely sounds intriguing.

I’d like to see some different NZ white varietals on the show sometime. Sav Blanc gets all the publicity, but when I was in Marlborough I was much more impressed with their chards, rieslings, and even gewurzes.

Good guest! Can’t wait to watch the CBS interview!
