  • Sir Gary thank you for another good show, too bad the Paul jaboulet wasn’t any better. Love the Crozes-Hermitage wines.

Nothing about the Jets? after such a big victory!

QOTD: One of my favorite cheeses is a Livarot from Normandy in France. But since gourmetlibrary.com didn’t have it I’d like to share another one of my all time favorite cheeses: The Tete de Moine

@bparker: love the epoisse too.. The stinkier the better!

    Gary,

Great review as always, your show has gotten me really pumped to learn more about wine and begin a collection both for enjoyment and investment purposes. Quick question, I recently purchased a wine at your store – 2007 Domaine de la Chasney – and I opened it tonight and got a very carbonated almost seltzer type of taste. Is this cause the wine has gone bad? Or is there some other reasoning.
Can you talk some more on a show about properly storing wine?
    Thanks,
    Kevin

Great show and it’s always good to see some Crozes love on the show…

QOTD: My favorite cheese has to be Epoisse…it is the perfect cheese for the high acid, light bodied, well aged wines that I love to drink. I once brought some back on the bus with me from NYC to Maine because we can only get it in the summer here in Maine. Let’s just say I had an empty seat next to me all the way back home…

  • Askold Shegedyn

Saint Nectaire, it goes great with complex red wines. It has a nice earthy taste with hints of mushroom and a tangy taste. Great with Burgundy.
