Tonight I’ll be packing a 2004 Egelhoff Cab that I first bought on GV’s recommendation on a show from ’07(?). Bought 1/2 case and loved the first three bottles. Big wine with lots of finesse and long finish. Thanks GV for all the entertainment over the past years and looking forward to more in the future! When we talk about decades we only use cardinal numbers. When we refer to decades we are not counting how many decades there have been since some starting point. Instead we identify decades by referencing the cardinal number in the tens column in the written year.

Wishing you all the very best New Year! One of the highlights of 2009 was on our tenth anniversary when Mr. V himself critiqued our favorite Chardonnay from Paso Robles. We will be celebrating with Schramsberg 2000 Reserve and for everyone else in attendance, they will enjoy Laetitia XD Sparkling and J-Davies Cabernet.

We had some strange Chinese Blueberry wine with dinner that made my upper lip temble. Managed to get some G.H.Mumm Cordon Rouge to see in the New Year
