Happy New Year to everyone at WLTV and all the Vayniacs out there! I’m not much of a bubbles guy, so I popped an inexpensive offering from New Mexico, a Gruet NV Demi-Sec. It was surprisingly good at this price point ($15), and I like the off-dry style, given that I served it with dessert.

Looking forward to episode 1K here in 2010.

Had a Schramsberg Mirabelle Brut Rose tonight

Have a great new year. The way you have been talking about the bubbly has made me more willing to try them again. Previous attempts have not been that interesting.

QOTD: A family member made a batch of port in 2003 and gave a couple of bottles. I remembered them and opened one. Pretty darn good.
