@jwink: couldn’t agree more. Everyone defending her as being inexperienced seems to forget why she was there in the first place. She wasn’t just hanging out with her bud, GaryV, she was there to “sell” her family’s wines. It’s hard to sell something if you don’t even know the price. Anyway, that is a dead horse beat hard.

I am glad she seems to be taking the criticism in stride and wants a second chance. Sounds like that is the attitude she needs to become successful. I wish her luck in her career, and actually do appreciate the time she gave to be on the show.

All the people defending her and stating this is her first TV interview, C’mon I agree with the poster that said its a flip cam at a bar, not some live studio audience for fox news or something!!!

Moma Buehler resorting to name calling and wanting to get even when our kids do their first interview was pathetic! Lisa Bueher also stated that Helen was the only one available to go to New York. IMO I would rather reschedule the trip or go outside the family and actually send someone with some wine knowledge than put my brand out there like that!

There is a reason why this show was held onto as long as it was before released! Maybe Gary wanted to throw something out there since there has not been many shows this last week?

Gary, Keep doing a great job and bring on the next show!

Also that’s great she wants a second chance at WLTV. It would be great to see her come back prepared and with some wine knowledge of her family’s brand, I hope Gary gives her a second interview! I’m sure the “Pathetic wine groupies” would be fair.

I am all for Helen coming back but not next week or next month. A damage limitation PR excercise will just make things worse and vaniacs will see thru it. I think Moma Buehler needs to make an apperance and ask for forgivness for her hurtful remarks to us “pathetic wine groupies”

I didn’t make the connection but Derek Trotter’s right. She came off as the Paris Hilton of wine. And when sites like WLTV are trying to reposition wine as a beverage for everybody features some ignorant snobby heiress who reeks of privlege and cares not about communicating what makes HER FAMILY’S WINE unique and joyous, well you’re at cross purposes.
If Helen Bueller goes onto WLTV, I volunteer to appear with her, to take it to her and othe elitiists ina way GV was too polite to do this go-aroung.

Wow, I’m thrilled Helen wants to come back again on WLTV. I bet this time she will take her family’s wine business as seriously and passionately as the VaynerNation. We are all in this together. Damn, I wish I had a Buehler wine right now.

Long-time lurker, first time commenter. I feel compelled to unpack Lisa Buehler’s comment a bit. If you re-read it in slo-mo, her two messages were, in order:

    1. 23 year old daughters should not be expected to be articulate.

    2. We sent in our fourth string quarterback- my other three kids were all too busy to show up.

Dang. I’m feeling sympathy for Helen more than anything else in light of the above. No wonder she pounded the Chardonnay.

Well, an interesting guest to say the least.

Not sure what her role is in the business, I don’t think she is sure either.

You will have better guests in the future I am sure.

She may be better prepared next time, I would hope so.

    QOTD – It’s OK, I guess.

Wow. Did mom just come on here an rag on the Vaynernation?? I see that the whole family needs a lesson in marketing and sales. Especially if not one of them actually watched the show to see how it’s viewers would react to someone with almost no knowledge about either the wine or the business itself.

Did anyone stop to think that Gary is running a multi-million dollar business here and that this might not be the interview to send in somebody who needs to get their feet wet. The viewers here have never held back and never will, so to anyone in the future, be prepared for it and don’t get pissed at the bad comments.

Helen, I apologize for the situation that you ended up in. I think it is waaay cool of you to ask for a rematch. That is the right attitude. That is the right marketing strategy. And that takes balls. You kept a cool head and are ready to fight through it, so I think that you’ll out do anyone’s expectations.

Now if you will excuse me, I have to go do … well, whatever it is we pathetic groupies do.

… I mean really, come on, who rips on the viewers of the most directed advertising that they’re ever going to get, how flippin short sighted.

WOW, someone lit the touchpaper on this one… the passions. Web 2.0 is so interesting to observe.

Wish we could get more comments on the wines. Only had the Buehler 05 Merlot in the past which was a good quaffer – need to check out the 07 Cab. Would love to more about peoples thoughts on the HdV.

Bring on an extended blind 2007 Cali Cab episode Gary…

All I can finish with is that I don’t pay for the WLTV vblog… I’m a freakin freeloader and probably getting spoilt with the content quality.

I am going to have to be a little negative here. All I learned from Helen being on the show was that the Buehler family raised a spoiled daughter who traveled on daddy’s dollar and doesn’t have to pay for wine. I would love a double blind rematch so I can get an honest opinion about the 07 Cab and not bitter taste of incompetence in my mouth.

Gary, you carried the show and did a great job of trying to give as much information about the wines and industry as possible while including Helen back in the conversation. I watched the show the whole way through because of you Gary. In the future please keep shows like this off the air, it didn’t help the Vaynerchuk brand at all. As for Helen: go back to Berlin.
