Been hand selling Bottles of Buehler for years. In my opinion, good service in selling wine starts and ends by directing consumers to the best product they can get for their dollar. Respectable is right. You ask me for the best QPD in Napa Cabs, you can’t go wrong with Buehler.

Bring on the Blind Cab showdown!

Great Show! I have been drinking Buehler Cab and Zinfandel for a while now. Both seem to be extremely good bottles of wine.
    QOTD: Sanchez needs more practice.

    Thanks for all your shows.

I liked your guest and wish her well….She should definitely know the price of daddy’s wine though. Regarding the corporate takeover of Napa, I always enjoy making a connection with family owned wineries like Reverie, Guilliams, Conn Valley, etc. Whenever a winery gets bought out it saddens me. Hopefully the next generation like Helen can utilize new media to take on the big boys advertising dollars.

Hi Gary, fun show. I’m almost afraid to admit that I’m such a Napa Cab fan with all the oak and the run-away prices but when it’s done right it is so much fun. I’ll be on the lookout for Buehler now.

    Bring back Sniffy Sniff McGee!

    GARY!!!
    Helen!!

    Extreme closeup w/the cam! LOL
    Helen’s very sweet.
And Ive had Buehler wine, quite nice.
Im planning a trip to Napa…maybe will checkout Buehler??
    🙂

QOTD: Well, I love Joe Girardi, so …why not? I watched an old (and bad) movie, late one night, showing a footbal team getting pointers on how to maintain better physical grace from ballet dancers…

    Good ep.
    Love u Gary!

    GV,
Your right Buehler is good QPR for Cali Cab. I think this winery has the right mindset, however your guest does not have a clue about wine. Just a pretty face marketing a product. How do you go on the road and not know your product price line. GV I say you make a power deal with this winery. If she is the next wine maker this will be easy picking for corporate – Constellation Brands to buy it for a song.

Gary I love you and know you love wine, but always seeing the world through the lens of branding and calling wineries “projects” is a big turn of for the people who see wine as a natural product and something coming from personal passion, not just how I can get the stuff over on people and how we can constantly sell. sell. sell.

Great show! Visited Beuhler in Nov. The winery was gorgeous, the wines were great and the prices were very fair. Thanks for another fun show!

  • The Buehler Cab is only $25! A fair bit under 40, I might say. I’ll definitely look for the Buehler Cab.

I’d be quite interested in the 2007 Cab Dub Blind tasting!

Interesting to hear the perspective of a family winery when talking about value. Can anyone recommend good wineries in the new york tri-state area? I would love to take a trip once it gets warmer. Interested to hear some feed back!

I love their wines and her father John is a great host I love to visit their property.

Heidi Barrett was their wine maker right out of school….
I have several of thier large formats in the cellar!!

The 2003 cabernet is what got me hooked!

  • I visited Buehler 2 years ago and it was my favorite winery I visited. Besides having awesome wine for a great price (most California good cabs are way overpriced, my favorite thing is that I tasted the wine with a family member (Page) not a typical college student from Davis or SF. It was much more similar to the style of wine tasting in Italy where I lived for 3 years from 02-05…good wine presented by the family that made it. Bought a 3L 2005 cab as well as some of their top cab (papa knoll).

Yikes. The comments about this woman’s intelligence are internet troll-like. Behave yourself, ladies and gents; just because someone shows up on an internet video doesn’t mean you can post things you wouldn’t say to them in person.

QOTD: I don’t care about the Jets, but I hate the Yankees, so that can only be a bad thing.

Excellent episode! I have been a fan of Buehler Vineyards for years.. they always deliver impressive wines at an unbelievable value. It was great to see a Napa Valley native on your show. Helen was very refreshing and did a wonderful job representing her family’s highly respected winery. You should definitely invite her back!
