  • EmZeeGee

I'll like it for both of us!

  • SourGrapesFC

    Ben Stein?

  • Anonymous

    Miles IS cool incarnate!

  • Nice show… and St Joseph on Cindy tonight.. can't wait.

    QOTD;

    Introvert: A. Einstein
    Extrovert: G. Vay-ner-chuk

Dude! The IPad looks totaly rad to me. What don’t you like? I will probably buy two! One for me and one for the Mrs.

  • JasonGonzales

Ha ha… The like button eventually poped up, so I was able to like it… But good looking out!!

  • Hey, you're back. Nice energy tonight. Last night had me worried.

  • joelbombardier

SubQ: I don't usually drink sodas but if I am out of the country I'll get a coke because foreign coke uses real sugar rather than high-fructose corn syrup.

    QOTD:
Introvert: Either Noam Chomsky or Rashid Khaladi because they are both so brilliant
Extrovert: Probably my girlfriend, but Jon Steward makes a close #2.

  • patrogers

I was at the Boston Wine Expo and one of the slakers. You shamed me into it. Great show. Have the perfect occasion to try the St. Joe and will.

  • Anonymous

Ah, another Trav warrior! Yes, its a huge time waste,r but I have met some great people playing. I even came to the States last year to meet half a dozen of them. Really an usual way to make the best of friends, but I am very glad I gave it a whirl 🙂

  • SeattleSteveW

Great show, I like it when you taste wines from a region (St. Joseph) that I have never tasted before. I will now go look for a wine from St. Joseph.
    QOTD:
    1) Coke, the original version.
    2) Extrovert – John Madden.
    3) Introvert – Gary Vaynerchuk, no just kidding I mean Mott (link it up Mott)

  • kungfu_sage

    introvert – tom hanks
extrovert – of course it's got to be you gary

speaking of Conan what's your thoughts on that whole issue?

  • WineWoman

    Side Question: Coke.
Just purchased a few bottles last week, of the Francois Villard. Haven't tried them yet.
QOTD: Extrovert; My late Uncle Mickey–you come in second, Gary.
    Introvert- My husband–the best.

  • Rich

Love the St. Joseph show! I've been drinking some Delas Freres, Guigal, and some past vintages for Vallard. Such great wine, and what I loved about it, is that it doesn't really get much press. Well, that's gone now, because of this episode. 😉

I drink COKE, but my wife has a thing about it. She won't go to fast food places with PEPSI. She'll tell me to go somewhere else right afterwards, just so she can get Coke. 😉

Gary, your the most extroverted person I've seen in awhile, and Dr. Stein, my Leukemia doctor at City of Hope, is the most introverted but in a good way.

  • My favorite extrovert? I hate to say it, because it sounds like kissing up, but probably Gary V.
My favorite introvert? Much more difficult. Probably C. S. Lewis.

  • lawrenceleichtman

You got me with a question for which I have no idea but just a guess for extrovert Robin Williams (who could be more) introvert the now late John Updike. I had the Francois Villard at a tasting 10 days ago and I got horseradish as well as pickle juice in the nose. Just wondering.

  • JiminAtlanta

Enjoyed the show and definitely need to try some northern Rhone wines. I am a big fan of southern Rhone wines, but know little about the north. I don't remember having a St. Joseph and need to try some if they make me dance like Gary. I am a Coke person. My favorite extravert is Gary Vay ner chuk. My favorite introvert is Sasha (assuming he is one) or Mott (if he is one).

Jarritos rocks the hizzy! Real sugar and so colorful.

I want a shipping code. I’ve been waiting for my Bouroquet for three weeks or somesuch.

  • rowiebabe

Dancing and a happy tone, thats better Gazza! But stop dissing the colts will you?
Dom isn't the only colts fan here, he is just the one most happy to talk about it!
Fav brown fizzy; coke- but I'd prefer club soda anyday
Fav Introvert; my buddy and Travian sitter Dominus – go Dom! 🙂
Fav Extrovert; my daughter Lani- she is up there with you Gazz for enthusiasm for life 🙂

  • COKE all the way, I hate Pepsi (and yes I CAN taste the difference)…too funny I left Coke as part of my QOTD for the prior episode before I even watched this one.

    Never had a St. Joseph…..yet

Hmmm favorite introvert would be Einstein…where would we be without his intellegence and theory of relativity? Favorite extrovert right now (besides GV of course) would probably be Lady Gaga….I love and respect how she's taken over the pop-music world.

I heard it’s like a huge iphone without the phone!??

  • LOL, you did the Fran-koys again. Anyway, I don't actually give a crap because I'm not French, and it probably earns you more street cred among the anti-snob crowd regardless.

First mini-QOTD: Diet Coke. Snap. That wasn't even one of the choices.

Second mini-QOTD: I <3 Northern Rhone. Cote Rotie is the bee's knees, but is expensive as s***. St Joseph is VERY close and a whole lot less. I have five bottles of St. Joseph in my stash at the moment, in fact.

QOTD: Beh, I don't want to think and I'm not a lurker. In fact I probably talk too much. You get two answers tonight and like it! 😉

  • P.S. Two of those bottles are the Jean Louis Chave Offerus from Cindy, and the other three are also a Cindy offer, so major props for that. You have the JL Chave Offerus at 22 bones, which is still a pretty good QPR believe it or not. It is the shizz.

  • I hate Coke. It tastes like prunes. I love Pepsi, but it does make my teeth hurt after awhile. I'm more about Mt. Dew though.

Your Hammer dance was on point.

My favorite introvert and extrovert are one and the same; me.

  • MDSmitty2488

Answer to mini question: I can' drink Coke or Pepsi because I can't break down caffeine. I'll stick to wine

Sub question: I have never had a wine from St. Joseph but will be finding one immediately

QOTD: My favorite extrovert would probably have to be my buddy Claudio Nuñez or Jimmy Buffett. My favorite introvert would have to be my sister.

  • Beeper

Good show…I'm definitely going to have to go find some of this to get my dad off the Australian Shirazes

subQOTD: Coke – best drink with no alcohol in it. Straight up. Actually, if you can find it with real cane sugar in a glass bottle, even if it's only 10 oz….
subQOTD2: Never ever. Never heard of it.
QOTD: extrovert – starts with garyv ends with aynerchuk; introvert – brother Chris.

Mott – still sick? Next time I see you, you're getting a hug. You've been warned.

  • Yes! Fran-kose. Awesome.

First of all: coke. Pepsi is sweeter and not… as… good. >.>

Secondly… Extrovert: my father. He would tell his entire life story to the guy behind the counter at 7-11. Ridiculous man. Absolutely ridiculous but I swear, there was not a single person who met him but didn't love him.

And as far as introverts go, I would have to devote that one to my husband. 🙂 He has yet to comment, I don't know if that's so much because he's an introvert or a “lurker” but because I always say all the words before he has a chance to.

    Glad you're back, Gary.

  • paulinseattle

All right, you shamed me into posting.
Great episode from a wine and an MC Hammer standpoint!
80-year olds getting freaky — hope that's me some day.

  • Words well said.

  • Never had a St. Joseph, will soon. I'm a coke guy all the way, but I often buy whichever soda is on sale. I thought the show had gone through a tough stretch recently… not the quality I've come to know, but this episode is right back on track! Great episode and thanks for the info on a region I'd never heard of!

  • urbwes

    QOTD:
Pespi (they have Mt. Dew !!)
    No St. Joseph yet (selections…..)
extro: you/Zane Lamprey (of Three Sheets fame)
intro: my friend Dave/ Dustin Hoffmann

  • Jeremy

    Sir Gary,

Marvelous question! Of course, I will have to answer with 'myself' for both questions. I wish not to toot my own horn, but it would be dishonest of me to say that I was not undeniably and irrevocably perfect in every aspect of life.

I wish you a grand evening, Sir! May your tummy bathe in the goodness that is the wine you just consumed!

    Jeremy

  • jsstraub

Great show. My first vintage of St. Joseph was 1995. I love them, I just have a hard time finding very many of the wines.

    Coke always

  • no they are like Colts!

  • drew82

“Fran-coze?” Wow GV, just wow. Say it with me, “Fran-swah.” 😉

QOTDs: Diet Pepsi or Dr. Pepper (the king of all sodas); Haven't had a St. Josef, but love the Rhone and will keep an eye out; Favorite introvert would be media-shy literary legend Thomas Pynchon, favorite extrovert would be … Andre Agassi lately I guess? Revealing so much of himself in his book was a brave and admirable thing to do. Can't believe people are giving him guff for it.

  • Mark Neustadt

I was hard-down on the Thunder show for a long time. Then I fell off…. On a whim, I checked out this episode. WOW. It was like putting on a comfortable pair of jeans.

    THANK YOU GARY.

BTW – I'm a diet Pepsi guy. Regular soda is too syrupy for me.

  • pawncop

Good episode, another area for me to locate and try. I have taken to heart your encouragement after trying the wines of the Dolcetta.

My significant other does not drink nor is she interested in wine for herself but she indulges me by going to wine dinners and putting up with the conversations that means nothing to her.

QOTD – My favorite extrovert – Robin Williams
    My favorite introvert – Ghandi

  • lawschooldrunk

    good show gary!

subQOTD: more a water person but if I had to pick, it'd be coke, especially the one that is made kosher for passover (with a yellow cap). I think that is the one to which Beeper referred.

QOTD: Me & Me. I swing both ways.

  • amgryger

The Northern Rhone and the Piedmont are tied for my all time favorite wine region. I drink St. Joseph fairly regularly.

  • bourgeoisbee

Sub-QOTD: NEITHER. My grandpa was a VP for Pepsi, but both put profit before employees. Coke has no problem killing union organizers. Pepsi isn't much better, but Coca-Cola only cares about your dollar, not your family.

    Sub-QOTD2:No one

    QOTD: Camus

  • lordsauvignon

    Back in the Saddle 🙂

  • chrisormsby

    Gary,

First off I am a beer guy, never really been into the wine thing, however your show has been a great source of entertainment and education. In the short time I have been ?lurking? you have helped my beer palate dramatically. I may have to buy some wine now…

    Keep Kickin Ass
    Chris

    intro – Einstein
extro – Slap Chop Vince “your gonna love my nuts”

  • mloagogo

Great show — loved the dancing and the butchering of French names! ;-p No, just kidding, while I did know it's Fran-swah I wouldn't have known to say San Jo-SEF. Coke all the way — well, diet Coke (although I have broken my 1 a day habit after years). Never had a St. Joseph but really want to now; the flavor profile of Northern Rhone Syrahs are delish! I work for a winery specializing in Syrah and like the cool climate Syrahs better so I'm sure I'd love the ones you tried.

    QOTD:
    Introvert: My friend Nathan
    Extrovert: You, Gary V!

~Megan (not totally a lurker; I used to post but then dropped off while I was touring South America)

  • code0017

    Sub quest- Pepsi
qotd: extrovert- me introvert- my girlfriend Shannon

  • Mike_Nelson

    One Hundred Percent Coca Cola

My fav introvert is my wife, because she puts in check my favorite extrovert, me. 🙂

  • Katie Marquez

Oh. My. God. You totally beat me to this. I watched this with Rafael BEFORE I talked to you, and have been thinking of the questions as we played. And dude! I was going to say almost verbatim what you said. Oh well. I guess that's two points for dad. Humph. I'm going to go and post my comment anyway, and pretend that I didn't see yours. 🙂

  • Katie Marquez

But coke is even better when there IS alcohol in it. A little Rum perhaps…

  • Phil G

    Coke over Pepsi

    No St. J … yet

QOTD – You know, GV, you ask these 'of all time' or 'favorite' questions and it makes the themharder to answer – for me. However, on this one, after thinking about it for 30 seconds, I thought of my perfect answer… two for each. Favorite introvert: my dad and brother – Favorite extrovert: my mom and sister
