Stonking episode…GV at his best. What a view from his NY apartment and a glimpse of Micha. But the highlight for me was the surprise at 2.55…I’m still laughing about it now.

Love it when you invite us into your home. Misha is growing up fast and is a doll. I was glad you caught yourself on the mix-up, because I imagined that all I'd read in the comments. The flip-cam had great video, but (as you probably know) had some sound problems. BTW – were those Christmas lights still on the railing or do those go year-round?

QOTD – big reds Syrah, Malbec, or a jammy Zin.

  • zHeadless

Ice cider from Quebec during the winter! You definitely need to try some.

  • No Problem Gary Vee, I just wanted to know if my bitstream was off or if it was an origin problem. Great Show either way.

  • bfr1028

Leave it alone!!!! This is what makes this a Classic WLTV video!!!! PLEASE 🙂 🙂

  • missatiejacket

hmmm… on a snowy day… I guess whisky feels right because if it's snowing hard enough I hope I'm not driving anywhere. Really any wine is great, too.

  • laurieinvt

Misha is so sweet! What a smile!
Good catch on the 'second' pour from the first wine- too funny!
QOTD: Hot chocolate- the good stuff- with or without a touch of butterscotch schnapps.

  • bfr1028

QOTD: Hot Apple Cider Or A Chocolate Coffee 🙂

  • DocteurQui

Añejo rum from Cuba. (But only when I'm in Canada.;-))

  • KVM1985

What a fun episode! I especially enjoyed “that stuff is BOMB BABY!” Very nice! Thanks for the laugh!

QOTD: Hot tea (on a snowy day, probably chamomile)! Or, depending on the time of day, hot tea + whiskey + lemon + honey = delicious hot toddy to warm me on a snowy day!

  • bfr1028

I was Just thinking of some fond memories i have with Thundering Night Train back in the day LOL That might still be a great snow day drink 🙂

  • Ron

QOTD: Sometimes, when the snow is pounding us here in Colorado, I simply go with a beer, probably a stout from our local New Belgium. Extreme weather is a chance to break out of a rut, and it is possible to get in a wine rut. Then when the weather breaks, the next wine you have is like springtime. Don't trust me on this, try it.

  • scottEJ

Fun stuff. Thanks for cracking the good stuff.

QOTD: Pretty much anything hot/warm…or room temp. Hot Cocoa, tea, coffee…and of course, a big baddass red wine.

  • laurieinvt

I forgot to thank Mott for his clever title, and lest AJ feel left out- you're cute, too!

  • Mott

The title was totally penned by GV. But thanks Laurie!

  • MarioDF

Gary, I need to thank you so much. I've been watching you for about a year now and my appreciation for wine has grown by leaps and bounds and I owe it all to you. Although I loved wine in my previous life, I've come to appreciate it much more thanks to your knowledge and enthusiasm for wine. I'm actually having my own wine cellar built as I write this and bordeaux will be at the top of my list for future buys. I just purchased a few bottles of the 2006 vintage of the two wines you tasted on this show. I would love to hear what you think about the 2006 vintage in an upcoming show. Thanks again – we love you in Canada. Keep the great shows coming and continued success to you.

  • plcb

I got a big kick out of seeing you spit the wine wherever. Why not, right!

    QOTD: Rioja

My PA Wine & Spirits shop reopened today. The shelves have big wholes from missing shipments during the stormy week. Good thing I have a healthy wine cellar.

  • plcb

    Hi Misha!

  • jeffisrad

    Hot to the Chocolate.

  • carl

…In a former life, I was a mountain man. My boss insisted we have Guinness on tap. Throwing horseshoes in the fall snow…what a life.

  • QOTD: Spanish coffee

  • vinoreviews

Great to see a wine from Graves represented in reds any chances we can see some whites from the graves on the show in the near future?

QOTD: My favorite thing to thing on a cold day is barolo but if wine is not an option then hot apple cider spiked with a little applejack!

  • JasonGonzales

It doesn't snow in L.A. BUT!

QOTD: Hot chocolate and coffee mixed.

  • romtina

QOTD: Gluhwein! Everyone who has ever been to Germany during Christmas time knows what it is, but here's a quick ingredient list of my home-made one: cheap red wine, dark rum, lemon and orange slices, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, clove. Heat it up, but do not boil! Yummy!

  • WineWoman

Love the snuax shows. Little Misha-Mish–how adorable! Would like to know how those big-boy wines paired with the Citarella steaks.
QOTD: Hot Chocolate (after shoveling of course) Soup—not exactly considered a beverage, but you can drink some of it.

  • rambler289

QOTD: Love me some memosas. Hey Gary I was wondering if you like memosas? What is your take on some OJ in some sparkling wine? Anyone else as well what do you think about them? Cheers and thank you,

    Ben

I miss my WLTV ! Have been so busy, for 10 weeks, that I can't even have time to (rarely) check in, much less stay caught up w/ you. But it's goin' great!

QotD – Well, considering that I'd left the chilly climes of the north in early Nov., that is all behind me, now. But during to cold time, I did, historically , love the warmth of Bordeaux, – the never ending variations on the theme of dry, tannic (the whole range), with the warming profile scents of tobacco, cedar, black, (and some red) fruits, coffee, and spices – inc. sage, cumin, mint/basil, licorice, and even tarragon at times. Great glass of wine, not just for fine steaks, but for beef stew, hamburger, even chili, what, with all the spiciness in the bowl, then the glass! my last one was 1999 Forcas- Hosten, Listrac, just 2 weeks ago. Loved it, of course.
And since, have stashed a 2005 Reignac, 2001 Johanna de Vieux Chat Champs de Mars, Cotes de Castillon, and a 1995 Larmande… but that's just the Bordeaux, for now. They might be opened at any time, I play it by ear, but I'd rather build up, and let them sing their song later, if poss.
It's good to see ya do yer thing, keep it up!

  • murso

Also, one of the few bottles I'd broght , when I moved down here, is a 1995 Duhart- Milon, 1.5 L. Tried to fly it down for dad's 80th about 4 years ago, but that wasa no go, and quite a pain. Damned 'Homeland Security' bs. Now that I'm here, I can't wait for my daughter, my Cab loving brother, and my NYC sister to visit, and complete the family setting, and have a nice dinner!

Cheers, to you, and all of yours!

  • redrider21

Just bought my first Bordeaux futures yesterday. Pichon Lalande being one of them. So cool to see you taste it today. Love the show. More updates on 08 Bordeaux please!

  • KnightWKNF

Love the Snaux show! QOTD: Dissarono with Hot Chocolate or Coffee, a nice thick viscous red (Shiraz more frequently), or a nice friendly bottle of port.

  • aaroncello

Loving the snow episodes. one of my first episodes was “Bubbs in the snow.”
QOTD: Hot chocolate. But the drinking chocolate kind of hot chocolate. As in, you melt some great 60-70% shredded chocolate in milk and drink it. After moving down to miami, don't get many snow days. Though in the 40s tonight is cold. Gotta get back up to my girlfriend in chicago.

  • aaroncello

Oh yes, hard to go wrong with Grand Marnier.

  • drew82

aww the misch makes her first appearance. it's nice getting to know the Thunder Family after hearing so much about them and how important they are to you GV.
