  • Thank u! Will be looking forward to them….

JasonM you rock,,, ; ) Good luck onwards!

  • Congrats!!! Wish I could spend this kind of bones on wine! Good show though always glad to see the family involved! So what's sasha talking about?? Haha let the cat out of the bag? 😉

  • WWINK81077

Gary I must say that although I may never have the opportunity to taste a wine like FU, I am so thrilled that you can air these shows for free. To be in the midst of this kind of dialogue between your dad and yourself is priceless! You caught the vision and your stealth like application is impacting everyone you touch. You are becoming the Ali, Jordan of the wine industry.
    Very G!

  • Oops. Sorry guys. I got caught up in the political rant. Congratulations of four years!!! I was a lurker for much of the time but no more. WLTV ROCKS and so does the Winelibrary!

    Keep it up guys.

  • waynooooooo daaa winooo

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAW, HAPPY 4th ANNIVERSARY WLTVeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well…. compared to George W… he still rocks…. well it couldn't get any worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Could it???

    ; )

  • Great episode, the hockey talk was great.
I love tasting different wines but get real frustrated with our highly regulated government system, lack of selection at hand and very expensive for common wines,I wish I had access to your list.
    thank you from-saskatchewan,canada
    keep bringing the thunder!

  • lawschooldrunk

    Great episode. lots of comedy!

  • laurieinvt

QOTD: I can't come up with a thing- except maybe set Sasha up with his own video blog! Hey- libraries sometimes sponsor bookmobiles, how about a Wine Library- sponsored winemobile (to all the states with prohibitive laws…?) 😉

  • pbarr

Congrats on 4 years and thanks for the education and laughs. You and your dad are great together. I'm looking forward to the next 4 years!!!

  • Doug from New Orleans

Great episode! Thanks!!!! Sasha rocks!!!! Congratulations!!!!

  • GV – It was awesome hearing Sasha reminisce and talk about hockey and especially his great-grandparents and Belarus. Just watched the movie Defiance a few days ago. Check it out if you haven't, it's really good.

  • sullydude

I wish I at least said hi to Sasha when I saw him at Wine Library. What a damned shame I missed that opportunity. I just never want to bother people!

  • Kayla28

Gary Congrats on the 4th year anniversary. Thanks for keeping it (REAL) its what I love about ur show and the reason I keep watching it. Its always nice to have Sasha on the show.

  • Jaybird76

    Rock on GV, happy anniversary!
Sasha, I'll talk politics with you anytime. Everyone tells me not to bring the subject up also:-)
I can't even begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed the show over the years and the friends I've made through WL and Thunder Cruise. As for QOTD: I have no complaints, so just keep doing what your doing.

  • castello

That'a a great idea. What is Sasha drinking tonight. Amarone?

  • NY Pete

    rock on Allan!

  • Bill

    Great ep!

QOTD: More free shipping from WL.

  • Don Simpson

That was by far one of the most fun episodes of WLTV in my book! The exchange between Gary and Sasha is a joy to watch. He is a proud father and its delightful to see. It was also interesting hearing Sasha talk about growing up. Was surprised you guys didn't even mention SWEDEN?!?! They are pretty good and defending champs… USA has a great netminder though.

4 Year Anniversay Episode = 99 Points (but NOT overscored Jay Miller 99 Points)

  • tflangan

GV – Congrats on the 4th anniversary. I'm proud to say I've been following you most of the way. Thanks for all you've taught me. Payback is all I've bought from WLTV. I'm surprised the wife hsn't thrown me and the cellar out of the house yet (especially ever since Cinderella Wines started).

Watching you and your Dad interact tonight was especially rewarding. Don't ever lose the love. There is nothing more important than that. Not even a great 100 pointer!

QOTD: Get more people like Gus working for you. The guy is a gem. I've never experienced better and more friendly customer service anywhere. Have Gus give Carlos some customer interaction lessons.

    Again, happy 4th!

    Tom Langan

  • Don Simpson

“We got in a huge fight over Scattergories” = HILARIOUS

I wonder if lil Misch is going to be as competitive as Dad 🙂

  • Probably some Bertani? Great Amarone!

  • Don Simpson

QOTD: Continue with a healthy dose of Sasha and MOTT! I still want to see the Napa 2007 blind tasting you mentioned a while ago…. I have a wedding at V Sattui on July 4th and trying to decide where else to visit in Napa (and Sonoma).

  • Don Simpson

Before I started watching the show one of the 1st reactions was, “Uh oh, where is the food? Sasha is not going to be pleased” ha

  • Great show. Always love Sasha. Will try to come in for Columbus Day tasting and bring my family. Congrats on he 4 years… many more for our sake.

  • laurieinvt

Since it takes all of us coppertops to keep this country running, why do we insist on thinking some guy in an office in D.C. is going to fix everything by himself? Ever see a horse drawn cart move with only one of the team pulling? I'm just sayin'…

  • FingerLakesRVResort

Happy 4th B Day!! Just keep pumping out content(I know time is getting tighter). Thank you for all you have done.

  • Congratulations! Your hard work & dedication have paid off.

What a delight it was to watch your interactions with your father!

  • Don Simpson

That felt like the quickest 30 min… fun episode!

  • mrzitro

GV, love the purple/black rugby shirt. Where can I get one like that?

  • oh forgot qotd: really can't think of anything that's an improvement area… more big wine discounts is always nice. and upgrade gourmet library site – more like WL and more good deals. And link cheeses with wines.

  • QOTD: 2 suggestions…

    1) Get Gary's tasting notes and score up on Cork'd after each tasting.

    2) Get some warmer lighting for the studio. Fluorescent looks cold.

    Cheers!

  • bahalana

Sa-SHA! Sa-SHA! Sa— oh sorry. :-/ QOTD: I've been to WL brick and mortar a couple of times, bought a bunch of wine online through WL.com and Cindy and about to buy from GL.com, and I've trekked from Texas twice so far for the Super Tasting. I would suggest two things: 1) just keep doing what you're doing, innovating, offering value and taking care of your customers and 2) BRING BACK THE FRIGGIN' WINE CLIPS AT THE SUPER TASTING, because it was a royal pain last one without them. In fact, I made a major strategic error and didn't spit AND didn't get enough to eat because I couldn't juggle the wine glass, plate, wine guide, and unexpected free copy of CRUSH IT (plug) all at the same time. Bottom line, at the end of the evening I couldn't walk or talk a straight line and in fact I vaguely remember chatting with Sasha (hope I didn't embarrass myself too badly), but I had to set stuff down and some of the restaurant staff must have picked it up and I ended up losing both my tasting notes AND the copy of Gary's book. Grrr… Certainly mostly my fault, but it was a much more manageable experience the previous year with the wine clips. Just sayin'….

  • castello

Congrats! Four years! Four more! What's the signing deal or is pop just stirring the pot? Pine Ridge kicks ass @34 bones. QOTD As someone said earlier we need a Sasha wine pick of the week.

  • First time commenting – have been watching since 580ish – thought this was a good time and show to comment on. Super entertaining with Sasha talking hockey, history of the world, history of WL.

QOTD – I'm in Washington State so you can't ship to me, but it might be cool if you associated with some winebars are vineyards here and did a video tasting like you do with your wine of the month club.

  • Nicole Smit

what a lovely episode.. very touching! brought a smile to my face. you and your dad are so fantastic together. would love to have a relationship with my dad like you have with yours!!
happy anniversary, may the next four be even greater.
QOTD: maybe a map o atlas of somesort to give us an idea of where the vineyards are and where the wines come from? just as a general wineknowledge aid?

  • A Question for the Vaynernation:

What is Your favourite Elvis Presley track?

Will be back in 10 hours time to check up.. (If I Can Dream)

  • Just about the best I have seen. The best thing you can do Gary is keep it real. We all know it is a business, but you are teaching an art that so few knew and were not willing to share.
Congrats on 4 years and many more to come.

  • ONUMello

    QOTD1: Getting better
QOTD2: Free shipping. Consumers are starting to expect it, period. I got a wonderful code and since getting it, I've placed twice as many orders since the start of 2010 as I have since discovering WL. I know it would be expensive, it wouldn't even have too be any purchase, but say any purchase of 1 case or over $150 or something… if GL can do it in syrofoam ice packs 2 day, I'm sure WL could pull something together. And keep up the 110% customer service.
    QOTD3: 1. USA 2. Canada 3. Russia

  • troytee

Sasha is WLTV gold. Nice job on 4 years. Hands down this duo is the best every time!

  • lordsauvignon

    Happy Anniversary!!!!
Mr. V you are the man!!!….Gary, your alright 😉
QOTD: Keep doing what your doing and be flexible. Keep rockin the positive attitude and continue to be open to positive criticism.

You guys are awesome together. I can feel the love from thousands of miles away 🙂 Your definitely a family man Gary and that is a serious plus in my book.
    Go team USA…and team Vaynerchuk!

  • teckdeck2008

    Your dad's the greatest dude.

Qotd: I would like a general wine knowledge section. Although I haven't looked at the wine ordering site in a while so it may have more than I remember. But I always get curious about random wine stuff and if it were all at one place it would be great.

  • BrooklynPaul

Congrats on 4 years! Sasha is ratings gold.

  • boomy13

Happy 4th B-day! Glad to see Sasha back in for some father and son wine analysis. Keeping it authentic is all this Vainiac can ask for.

  • scotchef

long time lurker, big time fan. im a chef and love ur shows. sasha is the man..question . when u r gonna have some of these wine “critics” on the show. RP, jay miller, etc…why not brand GV ratings?

  • QOTD: SHIP TO MICHIGAN!!!!

    Great Episode, Top 3

  • johnfarrin

QOTD: I honestly don't think you all could do any better. I'm 63 and I've only said that about two companies in my life. Costco, from a stand behind your products standpoint, is the other one. Everyone that I have interfaced with at WL (and I've interfaced with waaay too many of you if you know what I mean) has been excellent. Happy, happy anniversary and I hope that there will be a 9th anniversary.

  • Don Simpson

    Suspicious Minds

  • JiminAtlanta

Wow! 4 years. Congratulations to you and Sasha. I have seen a great majority of the episodes and appreciate the time and energy that goes into them. I am not sure what could be done better, especially since you don't deliver wine to Georgia. But I just ordered cheese and crackers last week so I will let you know if improvement is needed. Thanks for the 4 years. I hope there are at least 4 more. I vote for no term limits so you can continue for more than 4 years.

  • DCaragher

GV & Sascha…Yet again another masterpiece! I love the family! It's been 3 years now that I've been watching WLTV and it only gets better! As silly as it might seem, its become a big part of my life and for that I'd have to say thank you!

QOTD: GO USA! As for the economy…baby steps!
