  • Our favorite commenter is SS Chris. He seems like a great guy and does a lot for Wine Library TV. We are enjoying some awesome weather here in Billings, Montana! It's 60 degrees right now and finally melting the foot and a half of snow we have piled in the front yard from shoveling the driveway back in January. We put a St. Patricks day sign right on the top of that pile of snow and hope it melts enough to have the sign laying on the ground by St. Pats! Thanks for all you guys do at WL 🙂

    SA big fan of the Loire Valley white wines and planning to visit that region this summer. Happen to be having dinner at Serge Bistro on 33rd St. in NYC tonight with a Belgian friend of mine. He is a pilot for KLM airlines and he owns a house in the Loire Valley. He is generous enough to let me use it on my trip there. Any info or hook ups would be greatly appreciated GV!!!!!! 🙂

    No please, Gary the other wines of this caliber should be cheaper. Those should not be more expensive. Can't there still be some top quality wines that regular folk can afford?

    My favorite commenter – anyone who gets all jazzed up by seeing the new episode, races to the comments section, and types out the earth-shatteringly profound, “First!!!!” . . . in third place.

    I always wondered if they feel regret for having included the exclamation points. But then, wouldn't the meaning of their whole post been lost without them?

    Bonus points if they follow up their “First!!!!” post with a “Shoot. Well at least I made the top ten.” Yes, indeed. At least you still have that.

    2007 is not considered a great white vintage in the central Loire.. do some Loire research.. the 09s are supposed to be amazing

    Love Chenin Blanc! but I have to admit I haven't tried it as a dessert or sparkling wine. I see you may have been disappointed, but you swallowed both, which is rare!
