Dry is good! Lovin the rudi pichler tonight!

  • GP

not, uh, not quite sure the point of this episode. Was there a prediction about the country of origin?

  • flavasauce

Duuuude where's all the Champagne episodes you promised????

  • waynoooo daaaaa winoooo

    Thaaaaaaat's Whaaaat I Waaaaaanna Know !!!!!!!!! 🙂

  • hokiewino

I love these blind tastings but maybe we could get a country prediction next time? Good stuff though!

    QOTD: Pretty much anything alcoholic.

    Watch out Rhode Island!

  • Illegal_Formation

    QOTD: Another brown paper bag.

  • A dumb Rhein king

QOTD: Wow, over 200 comments and no-one came right out and said ugly girls. I am disappointed in all of you.

  • judgeharry

Also prefer at least 2 blind tastes. Seems like you recorded this on Friday and just wanted to get out of there.

    QOTD Recycled paper.

  • QOTD: BOOZE!

  • Clemclone

QOTD: Brown paper of course. What else would you put in a brown paper bag?

  • I would like to see more of a comparison episode. Maybe two wines from the same area that have a difference in price point. Oh, now that I think of it, can you do an episode of Pinot Noir that shows a difference between Pommard clones and Dijon clones?

QOTD: My hopes… and bourbon. Cheap, cheap bourbon

  • YoungDave

    Blind Riesling!! Excellent…

QOTD: Brown paper bags remind me of buying “penny candy” and cheap fireworks, and other “joke shop” goodies from Trotter's joke shop when I was a kid in Warren, RI. Cap guns, fake vomit and “bomb bags”… can't go wrong!!! (as long as what you buy is taken out of the store in a small, discreet brown paper bag).

  • read again, several mentioned girlfriends, ex girlfriends.

  • Phredd3

Less than four minutes in two days. Good for Lizzy.

  • and Mischa

  • Sorry Gary V I just had to make this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qk6ZZn–eRQ

I'll take it down if you think it's to much a copyright infringement.

  • QOTD: Air, and then I pop them… they make a really loud sound!

  • binarycache

    Nice job!

  • Lvine

Is this kind of comment really necessary? I find it to be increadibly insulting to all women.

  • A dumb Rhein king

    Very necessary.

  • A dumb Rhein king

It looked like they were talking about something more insidious.

  • Hello!

Cool show Gary. A bit short but cool. You did not guess the location the wine came from or I missed it. You only guessed the price. Kinda lame but your you're still ok by me.
I want totaly blind random wine from store. Then you guess varietals region and price point. That would be the shizz if you nailed all three!!!

  • Cool_Dave

There was not. We all need to come tight out and say it.
Lamest Wine Library TV episode ever.

  • Cool_Dave

It's not the quickness. It is the lameness that has people commenting. I could have guessed the price point myself without being toldd the varietal ahead of time.

  • Cool_Dave

    Format? The no content part?

  • Christopher

I don't think it's lame at all — it's different and part of a series, as Gary mentioned. Not very cool of you Dave.

Keep complaining … you'll eventually get your way.

  • DCaragher

GV – Good idea for some new shows…my only suggestion would be to have K. Murph not tell you what the varietal is. Makes the show even more exciting and we can see some of your skills or lack there of. Keepin' it fresh…nice!

    QOTD: What else…Labbatt Blue pounders!

  • flavasauce

You look like you need a paper bag….and a ball gag. OH SNAP!! :-p

  • A dumb Rhein king

I bow to a power greater than myself.

  • QOTD 1: Love the format, blind tastings and short length = very high QPR (info/time). My favourite though is 3 bottles tasted blind.

QOTD 2: Ideal length is under 15 minutes (AND NO GUESTS)

    Edwardo

  • I like the quick, in and out, format. I also liked the fact that you might not have been 100% sure of the varietal based on the nose – gives the rest of us hope. I would like to see you have to guess the varietal, origin, and price of the blind tests. More fun for us, less so for you.

QOTD – I think you can use what I've put into brown bags over the years to illustrate how I've matured… first candy, then malt liquor, then pornography, and now wine.

  • QOTD: My cats. They roll around in there and its hilarious

  • jsums

I like my Riesling to have that Mosel-y skunkified action. This sounded a bit boring. Good little show, though. QOTD – A cheap, slutty burger from a good burger shack. Ever had Petey's in Astoria? Crazy good.

  • notTheFalseD

QOTD – Cucumbers. Usually. But I actually put some cashews (roasted in olive oil, because I can't afford corn oil).

  • AaronO

Like the format. I usually only have a few minutes for you anyway. keep it up…

QOTD. Oddly enough, Riesling. A hot day finished at the beach as the sun goes down…nothing is more refreshing than crisp and dry riezzzz…

  • agentorange

    QOTD: My garbage.

  • agentorange

    AWESOME!

  • Love the blind tastings. It's a fun to game to do sometimes, especially when you pair 2-3 different wines from different regions of the world. All your mental suppositions go out the window, and you only have the wine to deal with.

  • Love the tight episodes. Let's me get my 2 minute fix and on with life.

QOTD: Roasted peppers just off the flame. Streams them so the skins can be easily removed. Delicious.

  • thenext

I’d like to see two wines, a blind tasting, and the big reveal = both bottles were the same.
Tell him its one thing and its another, etc. Not every day, but sometimes just for fun. Gary Vee has skills, so let’s see him bring the noise!!!!!

  • drew82

    QOTD: Sandwiches!

  • Wineink

QOTD: imaginary coins that trick never gets old for me

  • jcrazy

40s of OE, all day long.

  • lawrenceleichtman

Brown paper of course. Nice and tight episode.

  • ewb

Love the format Gary. Nice and tight.
    QOTD: Donuts

  • Jeff_RockyRiver

QTD – Every school day I put my daughter's luch in brown paper bags!!!

  • tacordier

QOTD: My girlfriend asks me to put a paper bag on my head when we are intimate. Whatever she likes, I like.

  • Liked the format. Nice Change of pace.

  • RieslingRich

Put the GERMAN Riesling up against any other, longer on the vine produces
intense fruit, and they always have racey acidity. Going to Germany in early May
Give me some Great but small Wineries.
